Virginia Georgieva, a shelter volunteer, rescued Pep from a neglected apartment where his owner had abandoned him without food, water, or any means of self-help. Virginia found Pep in the apartment, which was filled with dirt and neglect. Since then, Pep has been living at the shelter, receiving care and safety. Initially, Pep was malnourished and in poor physical condition, but he has since made a remarkable recovery. He is now friendly, sociable, and playful, getting along well with other cats. Pep has shown that he is more than just a rescued cat, and he is now looking for a loving home where he can experience happiness after his difficult past.

Ihr Besitzer hatte das Land verlassen und die Tiere einfach eingesperrt zurückgelassen – ohne Futter, ohne Wasser und ohne jede Chance, sich selbst zu helfen. Zum Glück wurde Virginia um Hilfe gebeten. Als sie die Wohnung betrat, bot sich ihr ein furchtbares Bild. Zwischen Schmutz und Verwahrlosung fand sie auch Pep. Seit diesem Tag lebt er bei Virginia im Tierheim, wo er versorgt wird und sicher ist. Als Virginia Pep rettete, war kaum vorstellbar, dass aus diesem abgemagerten Kater einmal so ein fröhlicher kleiner Kerl werden würde. Seine Blutwerte waren schlecht und er war körperlich in keinem guten Zustand. Heute geht es Pep zum Glück wieder richtig gut – und das merkt man ihm an. Er ist lieb, gesellig und hat durchaus Flausen im Kopf, wenn ihm nach Spielen ist. Mit anderen Katzen kommt er prima klar und auch sonst ist Pep einfach ein Kater, den man gerne um sich hat. Pep hat schon gezeigt, dass in ihm viel mehr steckt, als man bei seiner Rettung vielleicht gedacht hätte. Jetzt fehlt ihm eigentlich nur noch jemand, der ihm zeigt, dass es auch nach all dem Schweren richtig schön werden kann. Ein Platz zum Spielen, Menschen zum Kuscheln und natürlich die ein oder andere Katze zum gemeinsamen Zeitvertreib – mehr braucht dieser feine Kerl gar nicht, um glücklich zu sein.
