PEPA Y AVELINO

Mixed Breed · Female · Senior · 10 years

PEPA AND AVELINO FOR JOINT ADOPTION We know that this type of adoption is almost impossible, but everyone who knows this special little pair knows that they simply can’t live without each other. We’re going to keep trying again—let’s see if magic happens once more! 🪄 Pepa is young and has an amazing personality: she’s sweet, great with other dogs, and has a huge heart. Avelino, on the other hand, is a senior dog who sometimes pretends to be deaf when he’s not interested in something—but he’s absolutely adorable and full of energy. We love watching him dash off at a quick pace whenever his beloved Pepa moves just a little bit away, then hopping excitedly toward her. ❤️ And yes, we’ve already considered giving them up for adoption separately if the opportunity arose for either of them—especially for Avelino, who at his age really deserves to enjoy the warmth and comfort of a loving home. But one day, when Pepa went to the vet alone, her dear Avelino spent the entire morning crying and frantically searching for her. It broke our hearts—and we believe this bond is unbreakable. If you also believe in lifelong love and want this story to have a happily-ever-after ending, open the doors of your home to this little pair. We know you won’t regret it. 💞

About PEPA Y AVELINO

What life with PEPA Y AVELINO looks like

PEPA Y AVELINO is a large senior mixed breed dog waiting at Asociación Animalejos in Spain.

Senior dogs settle in faster than younger ones. They want a soft bed, predictable meals, and short, sniff-heavy walks rather than runs. Many senior rescues bond deeply within weeks because they understand exactly how good a stable home is. Expect occasional vet visits for joint or dental care.

🇪🇸Adopting from Spain

Spanish protectoras generally include sterilization, all vaccinations, microchip ID, and EU pet passport in the adoption fee (typically €250–€400 for a dog, €100–€180 for a cat). Many maintain partnerships with rescue transport providers across the EU.

Frequently asked

Adopting PEPA Y AVELINO, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about PEPA Y AVELINO?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Asociación Animalejos handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw PEPA Y AVELINO on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt PEPA Y AVELINO if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Asociación Animalejos will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is PEPA Y AVELINO already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if PEPA Y AVELINO isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Asociación Animalejos early rather than rehoming privately; they know PEPA Y AVELINO and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (ES). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
