Pepe – hat ein Zuhause gefunden

Mixed Breed · Unknown

Pepe originally came from Spain. He had to leave a family because he was considered too unhygienic for human offspring. With the second family, it turned out that he was mostly kept on the terrace. A Spanish animal rescuer therefore asked a friend at an animal welfare and partner organization for help, which they received. Pepe is a very friendly and people-oriented companion. He always has a good mood, loves to do things with his people and be in the middle of the action. He loves walks, plays with balls, and is always active. He is not at all afraid, actually always cheerful and likes being around people. Pepe gets along well with fellow animals, and at the Spanish foster home, he also lived well with cats. Pepe needs loving people who will adopt him as a family member, keep him occupied, but not overburdened, and include him actively in everyday life. He would also be happy to join a family with responsible children. Pepe is vaccinated, microchipped, and will be rehomed in cooperation with the Tierschutzbund Basel Regional (for more images, videos, and regular updates on Pepe, see: Pepe). If you are interested in Pepe and would like to meet him informally, please use the informal application form from the Hundepension Grisette, where he is currently housed. Either by phone at the number 0041 32 462 3219 (if the answering machine plays, please leave a message, as it will be returned) or by email at . Alternatively, you can also apply using the button below, and we will get in touch with you as soon as possible. We appreciate your understanding if the processing of your request takes a little longer. We will do our best to give you a response as soon as possible. However, it may happen that many inquiries come in at once or that our resources are temporarily urgently needed elsewhere.

What life with Pepe – hat ein Zuhause gefunden looks like

Pepe – hat ein Zuhause gefunden is a medium-sized adult mixed breed dog waiting at Tierschutzbund Basel Regional.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇨🇭Adopting from Switzerland

Swiss shelters require a home visit (Platzkontrolle) and proof of suitable accommodation. Cantons each have their own additional dog-keeping requirements (e.g. SKN training in some areas). Animals leave sterilized and chipped.

Frequently asked

Adopting Pepe – hat ein Zuhause gefunden, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Pepe – hat ein Zuhause gefunden?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierschutzbund Basel Regional handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Pepe – hat ein Zuhause gefunden on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Pepe – hat ein Zuhause gefunden if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierschutzbund Basel Regional will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Pepe – hat ein Zuhause gefunden already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Pepe – hat ein Zuhause gefunden isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierschutzbund Basel Regional early rather than rehoming privately; they know Pepe – hat ein Zuhause gefunden and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
