A male mixed-breed dog, approximately 4 years old, was rescued from an animal hoarding case in Iasi, Romania, in August 2026, along with many other dogs. Over 300 dogs were living in terrible conditions on a property, many of them chained. When the animal welfare officers arrived at the farm, they could see Pepe from a distance. He jumped excitedly and stuck to the cage's bars, hoping that someone would come to him and give him attention. It was already clear how attached and people-oriented he is. Even in the animal shelter, Pepe is friendly, curious, and open. He enjoys petting and the proximity to people seems particularly important to him. On September 26, 2026, he is expected to come to us in Heilbronn. Patient people are sought for Pepe, who will give him the time he needs to get to know his new life. Dort lebten insgesamt über 300 Hunde unter fürchterlichen Bedingungen auf einem Grundstück, viele davon an der Kette. Als die Tierschützer auf dem Hof ankamen konnten sie Pepe schon von Weitem sehen. Er sprang aufgeregt hoch und klebte förmlich am Zwingergitter in der Hoffnung, dass jemand zu ihm kommt und ihm Aufmerksamkeit schenkt. Schon dort wurde deutlich, wie anhänglich und menschenbezogen er ist. Auch im Tierheim zeigt sich Pepe freundlich, neugierig und aufgeschlossen. Er genießt Streicheleinheiten und die Nähe zu Menschen scheint ihm besonders wichtig zu sein. Am 26.09.2026 kommt er voraussichtlich zu uns nach Heilbronn.
