Pepsi

Border Collie · Male · Senior · 10 years

Pepsi - what to say about a dog who had a home and family for several years... until one day he returned to the animal shelter because he couldn't find a new caregiver :( Pepsi is an adult dog in the border collie type. He likes walks, hikes, and routines. He has his habits. Pepsi lived both in the city and on the outskirts, we know that he will rather find himself in a quiet area with not too intense street traffic. The dog did live in a house with a female dog, but he got excited at the sight of food and this often caused conflicts between the animals. For this reason, we are now looking for a home for him without other animals, children, and without regular parties where it's hard to relax and have peace. Pepsi needs a stable home, without noise or frequent guests. With calm people, the dog can quiet down and rest. Pepsi likes water although he doesn't necessarily swim in it, he will happily splash in shallow bodies of water :) Pepsi is looking for an aware caregiver, ready to gain the dog's trust and open to tips on how to work with him. As part of the process, I recommend a home visit to see how the dog will adjust to the area, and how well he will be able to calm down in new home conditions. This dog has lived through it all and deserves a chance. Who will give it to him? Who will save the dog? It's a great dog with great potential as a canine companion. But he must meet a person on his journey, a person with a big C.

Z tego względu szukamy mu teraz domu bez innych zwierząt, dzieci i bez regularnych imprez gdzie ciężko o relaks i spokój. Kto uratuje psa? To wspaniały pies z dużym potencjałem na psiego przyjaciela. Tylko musi na swej drodze spotkać człowieka przez duże C :) Małgosia 509274112 Gosia 606839787 Dorota 507384746

About Pepsi

What life with Pepsi looks like

Pepsi is a medium-sized senior border collie dog waiting at Schronisko Na Paluchu in Warsaw.

Senior dogs settle in faster than younger ones. They want a soft bed, predictable meals, and short, sniff-heavy walks rather than runs. Many senior rescues bond deeply within weeks because they understand exactly how good a stable home is. Expect occasional vet visits for joint or dental care.

Note from the shelter: Needs quiet environment without other animals, children, or frequent guests. Requires patient owner willing to work on building trust.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Pepsi, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Pepsi?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Schronisko Na Paluchu handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Pepsi on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Pepsi if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Schronisko Na Paluchu will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Pepsi already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Pepsi isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Schronisko Na Paluchu early rather than rehoming privately; they know Pepsi and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
