Pérola came very sick from a municipal dog shelter. We did tests and she tested positive for heartworm disease and tick fever. Long months of treatment followed, but she is finally well! Leishmaniasis has no cure, but Pérola can live a normal life as long as she has good nutrition and takes Alopurinol every day for the rest of her life. It is an inexpensive medication. Of course, she will need annual exams to monitor the disease, but this should not be a barrier to adopting a female dog with leishmaniasis. Pérola is a sweetie. During the treatments, she never tried to bite anyone. She is a shy and submissive dog. She does no harm to anyone. She does not deserve to live in an overpopulated shelter. She has never experienced love and affection. Pérola will be delivered vaccinated, dewormed, spayed, and with a microchip.

A Pérola veio muito doente dum canil municipal. Fizemos análises e deu positivo a dirofilariose e febre da carraça. Seguiram-se longos meses de tratamento, mas está finalmente bem! A leishmaniose não tem cura, mas a Pérola pode viver uma vida normal desde que tenha uma boa alimentação e tome Alopurinol todos os dias ao longo da vida. É uma medicação barata. Claro que deverá fazer exames anualmente para controlar a doença, mas isso não deveria ser impedimento para adotar uma cadela com leishmaniose. A Pérola é um doce. Ao longos dos tratamentos, nunca tentou morder ninguém. É uma cadela tímida e submissa. Não faz mal a ninguém. Não merece viver num abrigo sobrelotado. Nunca experienciou amor e carinho. A Pérola será entregue vacinada, desparasitada, esterilizada e com microchip.
