Pflegehund Baby

Mixed Breed · Female · Adult · 4 years

Since in Germany: January 2023, foster home in: 41749 Viersen Estimated age: born around January 2022 Estimated shoulder height: about 75 cm Get to know female dog Baby directly in the video! Female dog Baby is looking for her perfect people in 41749 Viersen! Baby unfortunately has to start over again. Due to changed living circumstances in her family, she can no longer be adequately cared for and therefore looks for a new, loving home from her foster home in 41749 Viersen. Baby is about 4 years old and about 75 cm tall. She resembles a herding breed mix both visually and in character: loyal, sensitive, and very people-oriented once she has built trust. She initially meets strangers with reserve and caution. However, with patience, calm handling, and empathy, she gradually opens up and then shows her cuddly, loving side. In daily life, Baby has a rather calm nature, but is also eager to be active and energetic. At the same time, she still needs to learn how to really relax and reliably unwind. She already knows how to ride in a car and be alone. She gets along well with cats. With other dogs, she decides based on sympathy. If there is chemistry, she likes to play. In general, she looks forward to continuing to work on basic dog training and building security through clear routines. For Baby, we wish a quiet, experienced dog owner, and structured home in a rural area, ideally with a garden. A child-free home would be ideal for her so that she can get the peace she needs. She would be very happy about a single dog who gives her orientation and with whom she can play. Who will give Baby the chance to truly settle in this time? We suspect that there is a herding breed (HSH) in Baby. Please inform yourself here about the requirements for adopting a herding breed. HSH mixes are often very independent and need a confident leadership. We wish for this fur nose people who are aware that rescue dogs have a certain history. We can never predict how a dog will react to life in Germany. Therefore, we are looking for people who have patience, perseverance, and goodwill. But one thing is certain: whoever adopts instead of buys not only gives an animal a second chance, but actively chooses against animal suffering - and for a life with a very special companion by their side. Already in love? Send us a self-disclosure form! Adoption If you are thinking about adoption, please first read through the adoption process. All dogs are vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, treated for fleas and neutered (except puppies under 6 months and very old dogs) before travel arrangements. Dogs older than 1 year are also tested for Mediterranean diseases. If you have any questions, feel free to send our adoption team a message.

In Deutschland seit: Januar 2023 Auf Pflegestelle in: 41749 Viersen Geschätztes Alter: geb. ca. Januar 2022 Geschätzte Schulterhöhe: ca. 75 cm Lerne hier Hündin Baby direkt im Video kennen! Hündin Baby sucht in 41749 Viersen ihre passenden Menschen! Baby muss leider nochmal neu anfangen.

About Pflegehund Baby

What life with Pflegehund Baby looks like

Pflegehund Baby is a large adult mixed breed dog waiting at Hunderettung Europa e.V. in Duisburg.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. A larger dog like this one needs daily off-leash time when possible — a fenced yard or regular access to safe walking trails. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Pflegehund Baby, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Pflegehund Baby?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Hunderettung Europa e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Pflegehund Baby on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Pflegehund Baby if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Hunderettung Europa e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Pflegehund Baby already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Pflegehund Baby isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Hunderettung Europa e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Pflegehund Baby and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
