adoption requirements adoption process Now request this animal! adoption requirements adoption process PfÖTchen has found her home! Her story: What a sweet bear bunch! Parker, PfÖTchen, Barnaby, Olf, and Franjo were found on the street without a mother. Of course, our helpers on site couldn't look away and took the quintet in. They could be housed in our private animal shelter in Fantanele. Unfortunately, they live in outdoor enclosures and anything but in an appropriate manner. Therefore, we hope very much that the bunch will soon find a home! Foster placements are of course also possible. PfÖTchen is a very playful and lively female dog. She brings everything a little puppy should bring. PfÖTchen loves to play with her siblings, is curious and open-minded, and really wraps everyone with her sweet gaze around her little puppy paw! PfÖTchen is about 3 months old and will probably grow to be medium-sized. A life in a household must still be learned by PfÖTchen – that has so far been denied her. She is therefore looking for people who are willing to learn the dog ABC with her. Soon puberty will be upon PfÖTchen, in which she will test her owners and their limits. She is looking for someone who stands by her during this hormone chaos and provides her with the necessary understanding and support so that she can grow into a great dog lady. Positive training and loving consequences will help her to get through this time well and to emerge as a strong team. Because PfÖTchen would never deliberately annoy you. She often can't do anything about her behavior during this tumultuous time and hopes that you will always stand behind her during this difficult time. Our PfÖTchen is microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and flea-treated. She brings her EU pet passport and can be adopted after a positive match. Are you in love with the sweet mouse? Many thanks for adopting the namesake, dear Sunny W.! Date: 27.05.

About PfÖTchen

What life with PfÖTchen looks like

PfÖTchen is a small puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting PfÖTchen, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about PfÖTchen?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw PfÖTchen on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt PfÖTchen if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is PfÖTchen already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if PfÖTchen isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know PfÖTchen and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
