Location: in Ottobrunn Born: 01.04.2023 Gender: male Personality: a handsome, lovable tomcatVideo impressions of PINKI: MB..13.04.2026FREIGANG!18.04.2026May I introduce myself? I am PINKI, a great (and handsome!) fellow with Croatian roots. And here is my story:As a very small young tomcat, around 3 years ago, I was allowed to move in with my human mom in Croatia. We had a wonderful and loving time together; I am a big and clingy snuggler. I was used to living with my human day and night, we had a great apartment and a large, sunny balcony. From time to time, my human mom’s sister would also come over for longer visits, bringing her dog and cat. We all got along famously. Unfortunately, my mom became very ill, and – what can I say? Suddenly, she was no longer here on this earth. I was then taken in on an emergency basis in the neighborhood, but the dogs there did not know how to behave towards cats, it just didn’t work. After another stop, I was allowed to travel here to my foster family in Ottobrunn to recover from the stress and sadness of the past few weeks. Here, there are also cats and cat-experienced dogs, so I get along just fine. I especially like my new buddy, the tomcat Sennet. What do I wish for? Most of all, I would like a quiet home with a snuggly human. Of course, I wish for a cat buddy or a buddy-line. Maybe there is someone out there who has also lost their dearest friend, so that our souls can heal together and we can enjoy the beautiful sides of life together? What is important to me is that the other cat is not dominant; dominant cats scare me. Friendly dogs are no problem, with which I get along well. Sunbathing is also one of my favorite activities, so I urgently need a place in the sun in a quiet area suitable for cats with a freewalk after the settling-in period. Would we like to get to know each other? I look forward to your visit!. This cat needs outdoor access.

Was wünsche ich mir?

About PINKI

What life with PINKI looks like

PINKI is a large young adult mixed breed cat waiting at Animal Help Espania in Odelzhausen.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting PINKI, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about PINKI?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Animal Help Espania handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw PINKI on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt PINKI if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Animal Help Espania will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is PINKI already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if PINKI isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Animal Help Espania early rather than rehoming privately; they know PINKI and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
