European Shorthair · Male · Young · 3 years

PINPIN, a gentle European cat, is looking for his forever home. PINPIN is a sweet European cat who is eager to find a family that will offer him patience, gentleness, and security. Behind his reserved nature is a kind and affectionate cat who deserves to gain trust at his own pace.At the shelter, PINPIN tends to hide in the cattery. This behavior suggests that he is a bit shy or intimidated by his current environment. Once settled in a calm and reassuring home, he will gradually reveal his true personality.PINPIN is clean, tolerates solitude well, and can live perfectly in an apartment. He does not need a garden to be happy, making him an ideal companion for indoor living. In the past, he may have had some unpredictable reactions. Today, we believe that a stable and respectful environment that meets his needs will help him thrive.Regarding cohabitation with children, we recommend a home with calm and cat-respectful children. His compatibility with other cats and dogs is not yet known and can be evaluated on a case-by-case basis. The ideal home for PINPINA gentle and patient family, willing to give him time to adapt.A calm environment where he can gradually gain confidence. An apartment or house without the need for outdoor access.Adopters who are attentive to his body language and respectful of his need for tranquility.PINPIN has a lot of love to give to those who will give him time to open up.For more information, please contact us ONLY by phone at 02 523 44 16.

About PINPIN

What life with PINPIN looks like

PINPIN is a young adult european shorthair cat waiting at Help Animals in Brussels.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇧🇪Adopting from Belgium

Belgian shelters operate under regional law (Flanders, Wallonia, Brussels each have their own rules). All adoptions include the Eurochip, vaccinations, and a stewardship contract. Several Flemish shelters partner with Dutch and German rescue networks.

Frequently asked

Adopting PINPIN, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about PINPIN?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Help Animals handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw PINPIN on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt PINPIN if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Help Animals will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is PINPIN already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if PINPIN isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Help Animals early rather than rehoming privately; they know PINPIN and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (FR). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
