Pip

Female · Young · 2 years

Could you be my perfect match? Hello! My name is I can live with Dogs Cats Children MY story Pip was unfortunately returned to us recently after being in her new home for 18 months. Once Pip gets to know you she is the most sweetest and loyal little dog you could ask for. But Pip has always struggled with new people and visitors. So because of this you would need to have a quieter home with few visitors and be willing to put her away some where safe when you do have visitors. Pip is house clean and crate trained. She absolutely loves other dogs and they really help her confidence so she would definitely need to live with at least one other happy and confident dog. Pip loves to spend her days between playing with the other dogs in her foster and napping on the sofa. Pip adores her food and treats and will happily sit for treats when asked. Pip loves a good walk in a nice quiet area without the constant worry of other people approaching her. She walks well on the lead. PiP is absolutely worth the time and patience she will need to settle in and will be a wonderful companion for someone that can meet her needs and work on her issues with new people and visitors. MY PERFECT HOME Pip will need a secure garden with a 6ft fence minimum and no gaps at all. As with all dogs on going training will be needed. Pip can live with dogs, potentially cats but no children please. OUR 1 Fill in application form Please fill in the form as honestly as possible. Our team will read the application and make sure it is the right match for the dog being applied for. 2 We will arrange a home check If you and the dogs seem a good fit we will call you to discuss further, arrange to meet the dog and arrange a physical home check at your home. 3 Matched with your dog Once we have agreed together that this is the right dog for you we will arrange for your dog to come to you. Depending whether this is via kennels or foster homes it may vary. 4 Ongoing Support We love to keep in touch with everyone and hope you will reach out if you have any concerns or questions. We work with a number of local trainers and behaviourists too who can provide support. About Pip

What life with Pip looks like

Pip is a small young adult dog waiting at Angels 4 Dogs Rescue in United Kingdom.

A young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Pip, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Pip?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Angels 4 Dogs Rescue handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Pip on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Pip if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Angels 4 Dogs Rescue will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Pip already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Pip isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Angels 4 Dogs Rescue early rather than rehoming privately; they know Pip and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
