adoption requirements adoption process Now request this animal! adoption requirements adoption process Pippa has found her home! Her story: Who would let themselves be charmed by the little blonde Pippa? She is small, with short, dense light blonde fur and sweet, small floppy ears. With her hazel eyes, she has captured the hearts of her foster family since early April. Pippa shows herself to be a quiet and reserved female dog, captivating with her gentle nature. She needs a little time to build trust, but she is attentive, curious, and very people-oriented. She is now comfortable being pet and seeks out contact, always with a fine sense for her counterpart. The pretty female dog is house-trained and is already left alone for hours. She gets along well with other dogs, whether male or female, and would also make an ideal second dog. Especially beautiful: She strongly aligns herself with the confident first dog in her foster family. She also walks nicely on a leash, although she still needs a little practice. Pippa is smart and eager to learn, and with a little patience and practice, everything will be no problem. Outside, she likes to chase after small animals like birds and rabbits, and whether she gets along with cats is currently being tested. She prefers to spend her relaxed walks on field paths or in the woods. She rides in the car without any problems. We are looking for a relatively quiet home for the little Pippa, where children should already be older and understanding. After the adjustment period, a visit to a positively working dog training class would contribute to giving Pippa more security and stability and strengthening the bond to her new people. Pippa can be neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, and with an EU pet passport move into her own forever home. She is available for adoption. Who seeks a loyal companion with a big heart and a fine nature? The little blonde is waiting for you. We thank the namingsponsor Britta, who chose the pretty name for our Pippa. Available: 19.04.

Stand: 19.04.2025

About Pippa

What life with Pippa looks like

Pippa is a medium-sized adult mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Pippa, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Pippa?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Pippa on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Pippa if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Pippa already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Pippa isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Pippa and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
