Adopt Pixie (& Wisp)

Mixed Breed Cat · Unknown · Kitten · 3 months

Hello! I'm Pixie and this is Wisp, we're a brother and sister kitten duo with very important responsibilities, including causing chaos, looking adorable and making sure no corner of the room goes unexplored. At 12 weeks old, we are full of energy, curiosity, and opinions. I'm usually the first to investigate something exciting, while Wisp is never far behind ready to join in immediately. We spend our days racing each other around, launching surprise attacks on toys, climbing anything climbable, and treating cardboard boxes like luxury properties. If there’s mischief happening somewhere, there’s a very good chance we’re involved in it.But underneath all the zoomies and nonsense, we’re also incredibly sweet little kittens. Once we’ve finally run out of energy, we love curling up together for a cosy nap, preferably somewhere soft and warm. And when we’re feeling sleepy, we become very affectionate and enjoy cuddles with our favourite humans too. We’re looking for a home where people are around most of the time because we love company and always want to know what everyone’s doing. We could happily live with other pets if they’re prepared to share their home with two playful kittens, and we’d love a safe garden to explore when we’re older. If you’re looking for double the entertainment, double the affection and two tiny best friends who will keep you smiling every day, we think we might be exactly who you’re looking for. So please apply! NAWT Hertfordshire Tylers Way Watford-By-Pass Hertfordshire Watford WD25 8WT Choose an item from our Amazon wish-list and it will come straight to us! About Pixie (& Wisp)

What life with Pixie (& Wisp) looks like

Pixie (& Wisp) is a very small puppy/kitten mixed breed cat cat waiting at National Animal Welfare Trust in Watford.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months — most shelters arrange this before adoption.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Pixie (& Wisp), answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Pixie (& Wisp)?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. National Animal Welfare Trust handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Pixie (& Wisp) on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Pixie (& Wisp) if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — National Animal Welfare Trust will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Pixie (& Wisp) already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Pixie (& Wisp) isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with National Animal Welfare Trust early rather than rehoming privately; they know Pixie (& Wisp) and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
