Mixed Breed · Male · Puppy · 2 months

If you’ve always dreamed of a chihuahua—but one that’s “extra huggable”—you absolutely have to meet PLUSA. He’s about 2 years old and looks as if someone had simply enlarged a chihuahua to “XL” size. He’s fluffy, soft, and definitely made for cuddling. In fact, he actively seeks out those cuddles—he loves human company, snuggling, and spending quality time together. But PLUSA isn’t just adorable in appearance; he’s also an exceptionally calm and well-balanced dog. When his shelter buddy MINUS decides to bark at passing dogs, PLUSA watches the whole scene with interest—and then just walks on by. He doesn’t seek out conflicts; instead, he walks beautifully on leash and feels right at home by your side. He arrived at the shelter together with MINUS. Are they brothers? We don’t know for sure. What we do know is that both dogs had trackers attached to their collars—someone once thought of them. Unfortunately, no one ever came back for them. We’d love for these guys to find themselves in the same home, because there’s a special bond between them. Still, we understand that adopting two dogs at once isn’t always possible, so we’re not making it a requirement. The most important thing is that each of them finds a responsible, loving home. If you’re looking for a dog who doesn’t need to be the center of attention but absolutely loves being close to people, PLUSA is waiting just for you. Maybe this time, his tracker will lead him exactly where he’ll stay forever.

PL·Show original

Do schroniska trafił razem z MINUSEM. Najważniejsze jest to, by każdy z nich znalazł odpowiedzialny, kochający dom.

About Plus

What life with Plus looks like

Plus is a small puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Fundacja Puszatek in Warszawa.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Plus, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Plus?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Fundacja Puszatek handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Plus on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Plus if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Fundacja Puszatek will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Plus already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Plus isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Fundacja Puszatek early rather than rehoming privately; they know Plus and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
