Pluto II

Mixed Breed · Male · Puppy

Pluto II - a friendly, affectionate male puppy is looking for his forever home. Born in January 2026, Pluto II currently lives with his siblings at the LIDA rescue center in Sardinia. He is a friendly, lively and very affectionate young dog with beautiful light brown, slightly longer and very soft fur. His appearance is reminiscent of a Setter. Weighing around 20 kg and standing at about 55 cm tall, Pluto II is a slender, high-legged male. He is fond of running and moving around, but is also equally affectionate and people-oriented. Pluto II approaches people openly and unprejudiced and enjoys attention and time together. Age-appropriately, Pluto II is playful, curious and full of life. He wants to learn more and discover the world together with his humans. With his friendly and cheerful nature, he will surely develop into a loyal, loving and adventurous companion. We hope that Pluto II will soon travel to a foster home in the Rhine-Main area in Germany. We are looking for people who want to show him the world with love, patience and empathy and give him a beautiful, safe home. If you like Pluto II, please click on "Inquire now" and fill out the placement form. If you live in the Rhine-Main area, you can also take Pluto II in as a foster dog first. More dogs are looking for a home... Mia San finally wants a quiet bed for herself. Maya finally wants her own home. Milly has been waiting for her people for so long. Oscar is friendly and open to people and other dogs.

About Pluto II

What life with Pluto II looks like

Pluto II is a puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Tierschutzverein Hunde in Not Rhein-Main e.V. in Bad Vilbel.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Pluto II, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Pluto II?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierschutzverein Hunde in Not Rhein-Main e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Pluto II on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Pluto II if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierschutzverein Hunde in Not Rhein-Main e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Pluto II already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Pluto II isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierschutzverein Hunde in Not Rhein-Main e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Pluto II and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
