Looking for a human with a steady hand for a dog who wants to be the leader and has a lot to learn! Pocomio, a mixed-breed dog with border collie heritage, large size, born in August 2022, and entered the dog shelter in May 2023 with a clear mission in life: to keep everything under control. When you approach him, he lets you know right away with a firm bark, just to remind you that he's in charge here. However, if you try to pass by him, he steps back with an air that seems to say, "Okay, but don't push it." He has a habit: he approaches only when you're distracted, almost as if he wants to peek at who you are without committing too much. With other dogs? There's no doubt: he's the boss. Dominant and controlling, he wants to be the pack leader, although he sometimes goes a bit too far. Who are we looking for? An experienced adopter who knows how to handle a determined character without losing their calm. Someone who isn't intimidated by his alpha ways but can guide him towards discovering a calmer form of leadership. Ideally, someone without other dogs or, at most, with a very calm companion to avoid fights. He is located in a private accredited dog shelter in Basilicata and we place him both in Lazio and the north, after the necessary pre-adoption home checks, vaccinated, spayed/neutered, tested for leishmaniasis, and of course with a microchip.

Cercasi umano dal polso fermo per un cane che vuol fare il capetto e che ha tanto da imparare! Pocomio, meticcio derivato border collie, taglia grande, nato nell’agosto 2022 ed entrato in canile nel maggio 2023 con una missione ben chiara nella vita: tenere tutto sotto controllo. Quando ti avvicini, lui te lo fa sapere subito con un bel abbaio deciso, giusto per ricordarti che qui comanda lui. Se però provi a passargli accanto, si allontana con un’aria che sembra dire: “Va bene, ma non esagerare”. Ha un’abitudine: si avvicina solo quando sei distratto, quasi a voler sbirciare chi sei senza compromettersi troppo. Con gli altri cani? Non c’è dubbio: è lui il boss. Dominante e controllore, vuole essere il leader del branco, anche se ogni tanto esagera un po’. Chi stiamo cercando? Un adottante esperto, che sappia come gestire un carattere deciso senza perdere la calma. Serve qualcuno che non si lasci intimidire dai suoi modi da capo, ma che sappia guidarlo verso la scoperta di una leadership più serena. Meglio se senza altri cani o, al massimo, con un compagno molto tranquillo, per evitare baruffe. Se pensi di avere la pazienza, la fermezza e magari anche il giusto tocco di humor per conquistare questo “supervisore” tutto d’un pezzo, contattaci. Chissà, potrebbe scoprire che avere un capo umano non è poi così male!
