Pointy
Pointer · Male · Adult · 4 years
Pointy has suffered more disappointments than a four-year-old dog should experience. He arrived at Cantalobos at just one year old, full of life, and for a while, it seemed his story would be a happy one. He found his ideal person - one of our volunteers - and moved in with her at the volunteer residence. He learned what it was like to belong to someone, to have his favorite person at home every day. Then she left Cantalobos for another shelter and took Pointy with her. We kept his microchip in our name, a kind of safety net, since his papers in Spain were not entirely in order. It seemed the right thing to do for a dog who had finally found his place. Last year, he moved again, and Pointy went with her. We convinced ourselves he had finally found a forever home. But it wasn't so. Since then, he has left, seemingly without warning, and left behind. The current owner says it's not their responsibility and wants him to leave as soon as possible. Once again, Pointy is just a name on the list of problems someone else has to solve: a dog that no one fully recognizes. Now he is four years old. He is still affectionate. He still trusts, in some way, despite everything. He is full of energy because no one has had time to take him for walks, and he would benefit from some training to go to the bathroom and some routine to calm him down. But beneath all that is a dog who has already loved people, received love in return and lost it... twice. Pointy doesn't ask for much. Just a home. A home that doesn't move on without him.

Pointy no pide mucho.
