Poju is strong-willed, even a bit stubborn, an estimated 5-year-old male dog. There is no exact information about the breed, but he is probably an American Staffy and/or Pitbull. It has been noticed at the center that Poju is strong-willed. This comes up, for example, as commands when he does not get attention or other things he wants. When walking in the large outdoor yard, he may not be caught or agree to come inside. Similarly, staying in his own room sometimes causes tight "negotiation" situations. However, when alone, he does not destroy anything, but sometimes yells after a person for a long time. Poju has been friendly with everyone at the center, but he doesn't really seek contact or closeness. Even when in the yard with the caretaker, he mostly just lingers on his own. The best thing is to collect as many toys as possible into his mouth and then run around the yard with them. Also pulling hay from the ground, muddy days, is a pleasant pastime. He hasn't had much experience walking on a leash yet, but he pulls sometimes with all his strength and Poju has plenty of strength!! Poju came to the center as a stray, so there is not much information about his background. He has shown open interest in other dogs in neighboring yards, but closer contact has not yet been allowed. There is no information about how he reacts to other animals or for example children. Poju has been washed once and it went quite well, there is no experience with other treatment procedures. Poju is probably allergic to some food ingredient. Symptoms have been skin redness and itching, as well as yeast in the ears. Currently, he is eating hypoallergenic food, since there is not yet certainty about the cause of the allergy. A certain stubbornness combined with a 32 kg full-muscle body sets some requirements for a new owner. Poju needs a determined and consistent owner who should have substantial experience with similar breeds. Due to Poju's occasional loudness, he may not suit an apartment. Also, we cannot recommend Poju for a family with children. Poju was neutered during his stay at the center. There is wear on the molars and cheek teeth, which does not require any action at this time. The adoption fee for Poju is 700 €.

Poju on voimakastahtoinen, jopa hieman itsepäinen, arviolta noin 5-vuotias pojanjässikkä. Pojun rodusta ei ole tarkaa tietoa, mutta todennäköisesti amstaffia ja/tai pitbullia hänessä on. Keskuksella on huomattu Pojun olevan voimakastahtoinen. Tämä tulee esiin esim. komentamisena, kun ei saa huomiota tai muuta tahtomaansa. Isossa ulkotarhassa ulkoiltaessa ei välttämättä anna kiinni tai suostu tulemaan sisälle. Samoin omaan huoneeseen jääminen aiheuttaa ajoittain tiukkoja ”neuvottelu” tilanteita. Yksinollessaan ei kuitenkaan tuhoa mitään, mutta ”huutelee” kyllä joskus pitkäänkin ihmisen perään. Poju on keskuksella ollut ystävällinen kaikille, muttei hirveästi hae kontaktia tai läheisyyttä. Hoitajan kanssa tarhassa ollessaankin hän enimmäkseen touhuilee omiaan. Ihan parasta on kerätä mahdollisimman paljon leluja suuhun ja juoksennella sitten niiden kanssa ympäri tarhaa. Myös heinän repiminen maasta multineen päivineen on mieluisaa ajanvietettä. Hihnassa kulkemisesta ei vielä ole paljoa kokemusta, mutta vetää kyllä ajoittain koko voimallaan ja voimaa Pojussa riittää!! Poju tuli keskukselle löytökoirana, joten hänen taustastaan ei juuri ole tietoa. Naapuri tarhoissa ulkoileviin koiriin on suhtautunut avoimen kiinnostuneesti, mutta lähempään kontaktiin ei vielä ole päästetty. Suhtautumisesta muihin eläimiin tai esim. lapsiin ei ole tietoa. Poju on pesty kertaalleen ja se onnistui melko hyvin, muista hoitotoimenpiteistä ei ole kokemusta. Poju on todennäköisesti allerginen jollekkin ruoka-aineelle. Oireina on ollut ihon punoitusta ja kutinaa, sekä korvissa hiivaa. Tällä hetkellä hän syö Hypo-ruokaa, koska allergia oireiden aiheuttajasta ei ole vielä varmuutta. Tietynlainen itsepäisyys yhdistettynä komeaan 32 kg:n, täyttä lihasta olevaan kroppaan, asettaa uudelle omistajalle muutamia vaatimuksia. Poju tarvitsee määrätietoisen ja johdonmukaisen omistajan, jolla tulisi olla vahva kokemus vastaavista roduista. Pojun ajoittaisen äänekkyyden vuoksi, ei välttämättä sovellu kerrostaloon. Myöskään lapsiperheeseen emme voi Pojua suositella. Poju on kastroitu keskuksella oloaikana. Kulma-ja poskihampaissa on kulumaa, joka ei kuitenkaan vaadi tällä hetkellä toimenpiteitä.
