Poli will be 8 years old in the fall and arrived at the shelter two months ago. She didn't come alone; she arrived with her canine family. She came with her brother Čičak and their father, an 11-year-old dog who, by good fortune, has already found his home. They ended up in the shelter after the death of their owner, the only person and life they ever knew. Poli spent her entire life isolated in a yard, so the world outside was completely unfamiliar and very scary to her. Poli is the most fearful of all. She is very sensitive, cautious, and it takes her the most time to settle and feel safe in new situations. However, behind that great fear lies a gentle and kind soul that is slowly building trust. In the meantime, she has learned to walk on a leash and now walks, although she still gets to know the everyday life and all the new situations that come with it. New people, sounds, traffic, and unknown circumstances are still something she learns to understand at her own pace. It is important to emphasize that Poli has no aggressive reactions at all. When something is not to her liking or she is afraid, she simply withdraws and seeks safety. She is quiet, gentle, and very sensitive, a soul that needs time, patience, and a lot of understanding. We believe that in a peaceful and warm home, with people who will give her safety without pressure, Poli will slowly flourish. She doesn't ask for much, just the chance to finally feel safe and loved. ❤️

Poli će na jesen napuniti 8 godina i u azil je stigla prije dva mjeseca. Nije došla sama, stigla je zajedno sa svojom psećom obitelji. S njom su došli njezin brat Čičak te njihov tata, 11-godišnji pas koji je srećom već pronašao svoj dom. U azil su završili nakon smrti svoje vlasnice, jedine osobe i života koje su ikada poznavali. Poli je cijeli svoj život provela izolirana u dvorištu, pa joj je svijet izvan toga bio potpuno nepoznat i vrlo zastrašujući. Poli je najplahija od svih. Vrlo je osjetljiva, oprezna i treba joj najviše vremena da se opusti i osjeti sigurnost u novim situacijama.
