Polo

Mixed Breed · Male · Puppy · 3 months

Polo - a little whirlwind is looking for his forever home ❤️ about 3 months old (as of 13.09.2026) | friendly, lively, playful like a puppy. Polo was found with his two siblings on an abandoned site. The three were left to fend for themselves, but our animal rights activist discovered and secured them in time. ❤️ Of course, the siblings were first examined and cared for by a veterinarian. Polo has since been vaccinated and chipped, and is therefore well prepared for his start in a new life. 🐶💉❤️ Polo is a typical little puppy: playful, curious, cheerful and of course a bit cheeky. 😍🐾 He wants to discover the world, play, romp and learn a lot more. Now all he needs is a loving family that gives him security, teaches him patiently the basics of being a dog and accompanies him on his journey. 🏡💕 Who will finally give our little Polo his happy ending? Polo is vaccinated, chipped, dewormed, not yet neutered and has been checked by a veterinarian and has an EU pet passport. All our dogs travel with official Traces papers and Paragraph 11 permit to Germany. Our dogs are additionally tested for Mediterranean diseases with a rapid test. The deposit is €520 plus €30 for the purchase of the safety harness. Note: If we assign our dogs to certain breeds, we orient ourselves exclusively on the external appearance and observable behavior (phenotype). This applies: This assignment is made according to the best knowledge and conscience of the association and the participating veterinarians. However, these details do not necessarily correspond to the actual genetic makeup (genotype), because a reliable determination of this would only be possible through a DNA analysis. In addition, the description of the behavior and character of the respective animal is based on careful observations by the animal rights activists on site or by the respective foster homes. It should be noted that these assessments relate exclusively to the current local conditions in the shelters or foster homes. It is important to understand that the fur nose changes after a successful

About Polo

What life with Polo looks like

Polo is a small puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Rescued Souls e.V. in Pfinztal.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Polo, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Polo?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Rescued Souls e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Polo on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Polo if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Rescued Souls e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Polo already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Polo isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Rescued Souls e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Polo and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
