Popcorn

Male · Young · 2 years

Popcorn… and for friends Popcio. A dog who loves with his whole heart and lives at full speed. He is an energy volcano in the type of a terrier – curious, cheerful, thirsty for the world and human company. For Popcorno, every walk is a promise of adventure, and every new scent is a story he wants to discover. A couch? Yes, but after a solid dose of movement and shared time. Popcorn was already in a home. For two weeks. And although he tried very hard, it wasn't his fault that he ended up behind bars at the animal shelter again. This experience showed one thing - he quickly finds his way home, can adapt, doesn't cause major problems and really wants to be "someone's". At the animal shelter he has dog friends, BUT if Popcorn were to live with another dog, he needs a partner of similar size, stable, who can set boundaries and teach him that not everything is allowed - even when joy fills the heart. We are looking for a conscious, active person ready for work and shared adventures for Popcio. He is a dog who needs movement, involvement and consistency, and in return gives loyalty, joy and a great deal of love. Due to his size, energy and jumping ability, we do not recommend him for a home with small children. Popcorn doesn't want to return to the animal shelter again. He wants to stay forever. Do you want to give him a chance? Do you want to meet him on a walk and see how much he can love? Call. Popcio is waiting.

PL·Show original

Popcorn… a dla przyjaciół Popcio. Pies, który kocha całym sobą i żyje na pełnych obrotach. To wulkan energii w typie wyżła – ciekawski, radosny, spragniony świata i bliskości człowieka. Dla Popcorna każdy spacer to obietnica przygody, a każdy nowy zapach to historia, którą chce poznać. Kanapa? On chce zostać na zawsze. Chcesz dać mu szansę? Chcesz poznać go na spacerze i zobaczyć, jak bardzo potrafi kochać? Zadzwoń. Popcio czeka.

About Popcorn

What life with Popcorn looks like

Popcorn is a medium-sized young adult dog waiting at Schronisko Na Paluchu in Warsaw.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Popcorn, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Popcorn?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Schronisko Na Paluchu handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Popcorn on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Popcorn if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Schronisko Na Paluchu will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Popcorn already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Popcorn isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Schronisko Na Paluchu early rather than rehoming privately; they know Popcorn and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
