Poppe Trapp

Poppe had lived in the foundation of a church and had been fed for about 5 years by a woman who lived next door to the church. He was shy of other people, but he would approach the woman and her daughter when they came with food and let himself be petted. As the years passed, a person who had taken notice of Poppe's plight eventually stepped in and posted an ad on Facebook, which is how we found out. We were moved by Poppe's situation and sent one of our cat catchers there. Poppe quickly let himself be caught, and his history was uncovered for us. Poppe was ID-chipped, and we were able to track down his owner. Poppe had been rehomed in 2021 but ran away shortly afterward and was never found. He turned up at the church that same year and has therefore lived in the house foundation ever since. Poppe could have been spared this unnecessary suffering if someone had checked his ID chip earlier. He is now tired and very energetic. We will now take care of Poppe and rehome him to a new home where he can spend the rest of his life surrounded by love and care. Poppe is happy and content to finally have gotten help! ❤️ Poppe has now rested up and is in good shape for his age. He is looking for a calm and loving home with plenty of time to give him. He wants to live as an outdoor cat, but he needs to stay indoors for a longer period before being let out. It is good if there is a netted patio or balcony where he can get fresh air until he can go outside for real again. Poppe is now living in one of our fine foster homes while waiting for a home of his own. ❤️ x Poppe's "home" out there.

Poppe hade levt i grunden under en kyrka och blivit matad i ca 5 år av en dam som bodde granne med kyrkan. Han var skygg för andra människor men kom fram till damen och hennes dotter när de kom mat och lät sig klappas. Åren gick och till slut ingrep en person som uppmärksammat Poppes öde hon lade en annons på Facebook som vi såg. Vi berördes av Poppes öde och skickade en av våra kattfångare dit. Poppe lät sig snabbt fångas in och hans historia uppdagades för oss. Poppe var ID-märkt och vi fick tag på hans ägare. Poppe hade blivit omplacerad 2021 men rymde kort tid efter och hittades aldrig. Han dök upp vid kyrkan samma år och har alltså levt i husgrunden sedan dess. Poppe hade kunnat få slippa detta onödiga lidande om någon hade kollat hans ID-märkning tidigare, han är nu trött och väldigt sliten. Vi ska nu ta hand om Poppe och omplacera honom till ett nytt hem där han får leva resten av sitt liv omgiven av kärlek och omvårdnad. Poppe är lycklig och nöjd över att äntligen ha fått hjälp! ❤️ Poppe har nu vilat upp sig och är i god form för sin ålder. Han söker ett lugnt och kärleksfullt hem som har mycket tid att ge honom, han vill bo som utekatt men behöver få bo inne en längre tid inne innan han släpps ut. Det är bra om det finns en nätad altan eller balkong som han kan lufta sig på tills dess han får gå ut på riktigt igen. Poppe bor nu i ett av våra fina jourhem i väntan på ett eget hem. ❤️ x Poppes ”hem” där ute.
