Poza came into our care with no known background, so her origin remains a small mystery. But upon seeing the young lady, one immediately notices: Nature has come up with a perfect blend! At around 5 months old, she currently measures about 40 cm in compact size and is expected to reach a pleasant, medium size. With her alert gaze and lively nature, it’s likely that a terrier or two may have mixed in somewhere in her lineage, both visually and character-wise, she certainly brings just the right spark of intelligence and energy. In line with a possible meaning of her name, in Romanian, Poza means "image" or "photo," making her a simply beautiful sight. At 5 months old, Poza is right at the threshold of puberty. This means she’s just beginning to explore the world anew, but also that her hormones will soon take a rollercoaster ride. During this phase, her adopters will need exactly what her name suggests: a loving and clear routine in everyday life, because established rules will likely be questioned. In line with her clever nature, Poza already shows signs of developing a prey drive. She reacts attentively to movement stimuli in her environment and closely observes what’s happening around her. Therefore, Poza is not just a dog who walks by, but a clever puppy that wants to be actively encouraged and challenged. For Poza, we are looking for people who are eager for real teamwork. Pure physical exercise like silly ball throwing is certainly not what a young female dog needs. Alongside learning the entire dog ABC, she would benefit from joint work, such as nose work (search games or tracking) and targeted impulse control training. This will help channel her potential in the right direction and keep her mentally engaged. Attending a positively working dog training class that also offers enrichment courses is highly recommended. Just as important, it will be crucial to teach her from the start that there’s no TV on in the house, because young, active dogs often need to learn to be aware and relaxed, just as the gradual alone time in the first year should be kept to a minimum. If one brings the necessary follow-through, a good dose of humor for the upcoming puberty, and joy in working together with a clever young pup, then Poza is exactly the right companion for life. Poza is looking forward to many adventures in nature and at least as many cuddle hours on the couch. Poza travels microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and flea-treated, together with her EU pet passport. Stand: 23.05. But also a foster home would be a good start for Pozas personal happy ending. Poza – ein kleines großes Hundemädchen auf der Suche nach ihrem Für-immer-Zuhause lebt seit Anfang Juni 2026 lebt auf einer Pflegestelle in Hamburg und hat sich in dieser Zeit toll entwickelt. Poza ist jung, lebensfroh und sehr menschenbezogen. Sie liebt Nähe, spielt gern auch mit ihren Artgenossen und entdeckt neugierig ihre Welt. In ihr steckt vermutlich eine Mischung aus Jagdterrier und Schäferhund – aufmerksam, klug und immer bereit zu lernen. Ihre Geschichte begann leider schwierig: Poza war mit ihrer Mutter Emily, einer Jagdterrierhündin, auf der Straße in Rumänien unterwegs. Emily lebt inzwischen im Shelter und konnte noch nicht vermittelt werden. Poza hatte einen Autonfall, bei dem sie einen Teil ihrer Hinterpfote verlor. Zum Glück lässt sie sich davon aber nicht bremsen. Wassertrainig findet sie wunderbar, genauso wie Wasser selbst. Durch intensives Training und guten Muskelaufbau kommt sie im Alltag gut zurecht und man merkt ihr Handicap nicht wirklich, auch wenn sie kein Hund für extreme sportliche Belastungen sein wird. Bewegung, Beschäftigung und gemeinsame Zeit sind für sie trotzdem sehr wichtig. Pozas Wunschzuhause: * liebevolle, aktive Menschen mit Zeit * gerne Kinder ab ca. 8 Jahren (je nach Familie auch jünger möglich) * Menschen, die Freude an Erziehung, Geduld und klarer Führung haben * ein Zuhause, in dem sie wirklich dazugehören darf Poza ist kein perfekter Hund – und genau das macht sie besonders. Sie ist jung, voller Flausen und mit einem großen Herzen unterwegs ins Leben. Sie möchte lernen, erleben und endlich ankommen. Poza kann in Hamburg kennengelernt werden. Vielleicht ist sie genau die kleine Seele, die schon lange auf euch wartet. Ausgewachsen wird Poza wohl um die 20 kg bei einer Höhe von 55 cm erreichen. Aktuell ist sie ca. 8 Monate alt und befindet sich mitten in der Pubertät. Das bedeutet, dass sie die Welt gerade ganz neu für sich entdeckt, aber auch, dass die Hormone bald ein wenig Achterbahn fahren werden. In dieser Phase ist von ihren Menschen genau das gefragt, wofür ihr Name ebenfalls steht: eine liebevolle und klare Haltung im Alltag, denn bereits gelernte Regeln werden nun sicher mal hinterfragt. Poza freut sich schon auf viele gemeinsame Abenteuer in der Natur und mindestens genauso viele Kuschelstunden auf dem Sofa. Poza ist gechipt, geimpft, entwurmt und entfloht und hat ihren EU-Heimtierausweis. Nach positiver Vorkontrolle kann sie gegen eine Schutzgebühr vermittelt werden.
