Mixed Breed · Female · Young · 1 year

Animal shelter contact: Virginia Georgieva Born: approx. April 2025 Sex: female Location: Bulgaria Neutered: yes FIV test: negative FeLV test: negative Handicaps: none Compatible with: Children: not known Cats: yes Dogs: not known Requirements: NO single housing, indoor living only, NO outdoor access. A balcony or terrace is desirable (if available, securing it is required). Precious was left in front of Virginia's shelter together with Bella and seven kittens, in two far-too-cramped transport boxes. The shelter was already completely overcrowded at the time, and Virginia had to find a solution for the little family quickly. Fortunately, she was able to arrange different accommodation for the seven kittens. For the two older girls, however, no one could be found. And so Precious and Bella remained at the shelter, where they are now waiting for someone to open the door for them too. Precious is a wonderful cat girl whom you simply have to fall in love with right away. She is a little connoisseur who loves cuddles above all else and soaks up every bit of attention from her people like a precious treasure. With her affectionate, gentle nature, this uncomplicated velvet paw instantly brings life and warmth into any room. She also gets along wonderfully with other cats. For Precious, we hope for people who will give her a loving life and enjoy her affectionate nature just as much as she deserves. She has had to wait long enough. Now it would be wonderful if someone finally said to her: "You belong with us." If no other velvet paw is waiting for Precious in her new basket, she would gladly travel to her new life together with Bella.

About Precious

What life with Precious looks like

Precious is a young adult mixed breed cat waiting at Glücksnasen e.V. Tierschutzverein in Germany.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Dogs and cats typically leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with an EU pet passport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Precious, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Precious?: Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Glücksnasen e.V. Tierschutzverein handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Precious on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Precious if I live in another country?: Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Glücksnasen e.V. Tierschutzverein will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Precious already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?: Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Precious isn't the right fit?: Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Glücksnasen e.V. Tierschutzverein early rather than rehoming privately; they know Precious and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?: TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
