PRETA

Mixed Breed · Female · Kitten · 4 months

Pretty cats... and then there's Preta ✨ Black as a moonless night, elegant as an ancient Egyptian queen and with a presence that seems to come from a legend forgotten among pyramids and sacred temples ⚜️🕌 Her green eyes are not normal. They look like two polished emeralds, shining with that mystery that precious stones have. When she looks at you, it gives the impression that she knows secrets from thousands of years ago... and probably judges your ability to open cans of tuna 😂🐾 But behind all that elegance of feline goddess is an incredibly affectionate kitten. She loves being close to people, receiving pets and becoming the most adorable shadow of the house 🥹 Would you dare to meet Preta? *All our cats will be adopted in homes with mosquito nets and balcony nets, if applicable. Protected cat, safe and happy 😸 📱 675740732✉️ It is up for adoption, tested, chipped, vaccinated, dewormed and spayed. "A country can be judged by the way it treats its animals"

About PRETA

What life with PRETA looks like

PRETA is a kitten mixed breed cat waiting at Protectora de Burjassot in Spain.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months — most shelters arrange this before adoption.

🇪🇸Adopting from Spain

Spanish protectoras generally include sterilization, all vaccinations, microchip ID, and EU pet passport in the adoption fee. Many maintain partnerships with rescue transport providers across the EU.

Frequently asked

Adopting PRETA, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about PRETA?: Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Protectora de Burjassot handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw PRETA on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt PRETA if I live in another country?: Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Protectora de Burjassot will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is PRETA already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?: Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if PRETA isn't the right fit?: Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Protectora de Burjassot early rather than rehoming privately; they know PRETA and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?: TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (ES). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
