Prince & Sammy

Mixed Breed Cat Β· Male Β· Kitten

Prince - Black Male Sammy - Grey & White Male These two gorgeous little boys came into our care after being abandoned outside our rescue's front door in the middle of the night. Thankfully, they're now safe, warm and being showered with the love and care they deserve in a foster home. Prince is our confident, friendly little chap who loves making friends, while Sammy is a little more nervous and needs some extra time and patience to build his confidence. Despite their different personalities, both boys are incredibly sweet! They love to play, enjoy their food (definitely little foodies!) and are always up to something mischievous. They love exploring their surroundings, getting into a little bit of trouble, and then eventually curling up for a well-earned snooze. The boys could be rehomed together or separately. If you are hoping to adopt them as a pair, they will need a quiet, understanding home with older children who can respect Sammy's shyness and give him the time and space he needs to settle in and find his confidence. Prince may be the more outgoing of the two, but with a little patience and kindness, Sammy will get there too. Once they've settled and learned to trust you, both boys will become your very best friends! Prince and Sammy have so much love and personality to give, and we can't wait to see them blossom. They deserve a future filled with kindness, security and lots of love. Let's make sure their rough start is just a tiny part of their story, not the rest of it.

About Prince & Sammy

What life with Prince & Sammy looks like

Prince & Sammy is a very small kitten mixed breed cat cat waiting at RSPCA York Home in United Kingdom.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months β€” most shelters arrange this before adoption.

πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Prince & Sammy, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Prince & Sammy?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. RSPCA York Home handles screening and the adoption contract directly β€” TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Prince & Sammy on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Prince & Sammy if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad β€” RSPCA York Home will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Prince & Sammy already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported β€” ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Prince & Sammy isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work β€” that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with RSPCA York Home early rather than rehoming privately; they know Prince & Sammy and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect β€” names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
