Princesa

Mixed Breed · Unknown · Puppy · 4 months

Now, the quartet consists of rather large dogs, and since we are almost always fully occupied, we could only take in two at first, Sultan and the daughter of Princesa. Both found a home together quickly. So we could then also take in the mother and son. Argui still had a studded collar with a piece of the iron chain still attached. For Princesa, it was similar, only that here it was a much too tight collar where not even a small finger could fit between neck and collar. Well, a piece of the iron chain was also attached to her. We had the opportunity to allow both to move into an open area together. This kind of "free run" and togetherness was obviously unfamiliar, but they thoroughly enjoyed it. They are so curious about everything around them. Princesa is not exactly the youngest anymore, which does not mean she doesn’t deserve a nice home. On the contrary! She deserves to spend her last years full of happiness and love. She is a very strong-willed female dog who, in her previous life, had the responsibility of watching the yard and, in addition, had to give birth to puppies – and it seems not just once. As soon as she feels comfortable, however, she lets her guard down and enjoys every little cuddle. This dog simply touches the heart. She is loyal and true. Her love must be earned, which makes her unique. For this incredible female dog, we are looking for people who are ready to give her what she so desperately needs and deserves: security and a whole lot of love! Additionally, you should bring some dog experience and be able to read and assess her. This requires a bit of practice and finesse. With this ability, time, respect, understanding, consistency, a confident and sovereign demeanor, and love, you will get an incredibly great companion with Princesa.

About Princesa

What life with Princesa looks like

Princesa is a extra-large puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Tierschutzverein Europa in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Princesa, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Princesa?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierschutzverein Europa handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Princesa on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Princesa if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierschutzverein Europa will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Princesa already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Princesa isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierschutzverein Europa early rather than rehoming privately; they know Princesa and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
