Adopt Princess

Mixed Breed · Female · Young · 2 years

Residence: Romania Princess is a female dog approximately 1.5 to 2 years old who has lived with our animal rescuer for about seven months. During this time, she has developed wonderfully—from a cautious, reserved female dog into a gentle, loving companion with a fine nature. She lives up to her name, for Princess has a calm, graceful demeanor and touches all who meet her with her loving gaze and gentle character. At first, she shows herself to be shy, but with a little patience and affection, she quickly gains trust and enjoys the company of her people. She is attentive, curious, and ready to explore the world outside the animal shelter—accompanied by a person who provides her with security and safety. She gets along well with other dogs and currently lives harmoniously in a mixed dog group. Whether she also gets along with cats can be tested if needed. Princess is vaccinated, microchipped, and ready to travel. She is waiting only for the right family that will show her how wonderful a home can be—full of love, warmth, and trust. Princess is prepared for travel arrangements, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, neutered, and medically checked, and in possession of a Eu-Animal Passport. All our dogs travel with official trace papers and Paragraph 11 approval to Germany. Our dogs are additionally tested for Mediterranean diseases via a rapid test. The adoption fee is 500€ plus 30€ for the purchase of safety gear. Note: When we assign our dogs to certain breeds, we base our decision solely on their outward appearance and observable behavior (phenotype). This assignment is made with the best of intentions and knowledge by the club and the involved veterinarians. However, these descriptions do not necessarily correspond to the actual genetic makeup (genotype), as their reliable determination would only be possible through a DNA analysis. Furthermore, the behavioral and character description of each animal is based on careful observations by the animal welfare workers on site or by the respective foster facilities. It should be noted that these assessments are based solely on the current local conditions in the intake centers or foster facilities.

About Princess

What life with Princess looks like

Princess is a medium-sized young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Rescued Souls e.V. in Pfinztal.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Princess, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Princess?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Rescued Souls e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Princess on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Princess if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Rescued Souls e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Princess already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Princess isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Rescued Souls e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Princess and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
