Principessa

Mixed Breed · Female · Young · 1 year

Friendly, open-minded, compatible, playful, obedient. Principessa was given up by her family in Greece and thus found her way to us. In the first days she was very shy and reserved. Many other dogs, new people and an entirely foreign environment made her afraid. After a few days it changed and Principessa is now in the middle of everything. She gets along with every dog so far. With new dogs she is cautious and approaches them kindly and respectfully. Playing and racing are high on her list. But she can also lie alone in the sun and just do nothing. Principessa is a sporty female dog who likes mental work and can be well occupied with it. Jogging, tracking could also be well imagined for her. Basic commands and the play rules in a family she must learn, but she will quickly and gladly implement them with positive association. They are all vaccinated, microchipped and have an EU passport. They are checked for Mediterranean diseases according to their age. See information on our homepage. Every dog placed makes space for one of those dogs who live their life hungry and emaciated.

AUFENTHALTSORT

About Principessa

What life with Principessa looks like

Principessa is a young adult mixed breed dog waiting at A.C.E. Animal Compassion Europe - Tiere in Not e.V. in Greece.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇬🇷Adopting from Greece

Greek shelters often partner with Northern European rescue groups for placements. Animals are sterilized, vaccinated, and chipped before adoption. Fees vary widely depending on whether the shelter is municipal or NGO-run.

Frequently asked

Adopting Principessa, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Principessa?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. A.C.E. Animal Compassion Europe - Tiere in Not e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Principessa on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Principessa if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — A.C.E. Animal Compassion Europe - Tiere in Not e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Principessa already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Principessa isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with A.C.E. Animal Compassion Europe - Tiere in Not e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Principessa and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
