Adopt Priscilla

Female · Kitten · 11 months

A motherless kitten was found during a neutering campaign at a cat colony in Arzachena. The kitten was not in good health and would not have survived in the colony. Our partner Loredana took the little one in and nursed it back to health. The female kitten was named Priscella. So that she wouldn't be completely alone, after her recovery, she was placed in a cage with three other kittens. Together with Pascal, Petra, and Pamela, she now forms a well-coordinated quartet. She is still rather skeptical of strangers, but very affectionate and familiar with her foster mom. The four beautiful kittens are safe with our colleague and are being taken excellent care of. However, since they mostly have to stay in their cage, we hope that they will soon find nice people who want to adopt them. In a home of their own with room to play and romp, the little ones would surely thrive. Priscilla arrived in their German foster home together with Pascal. Both are now waiting here for nice people who want to adopt them. If you would like to take in Priscilla - preferably together with Pascal - into your family, we would be delighted to hear from you. She will not be given away for single housing. For our cats, we prefer homes that are suitable for apartment living with a cat-safe netted balcony or secure terrace.

About Priscilla

What life with Priscilla looks like

Priscilla is a puppy/kitten cat waiting at ProTier e.V. in Germany.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months — most shelters arrange this before adoption.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Priscilla, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Priscilla?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. ProTier e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Priscilla on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Priscilla if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — ProTier e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Priscilla already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Priscilla isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with ProTier e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Priscilla and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
