PRYMUS

Unknown · Adult · 6 years

Prymus is a 5-year-old dog who is friendly, open to people, and clearly eager to interact with humans. He loves affection and spending time together, and the presence of his caregiver is very important to him. At the same time, he needs time and space to calmly adjust to his new surroundings. His past was likely not an easy one. Much suggests that he may have spent his early years in a kennel, which is why he’s still learning about the world and new experiences. We’re looking for a responsible guardian who’s willing to work with Prymus and patiently introduce him to situations he’s never encountered before. On walks, he sometimes pulls toward other dogs. This behavior probably stems from a lack of proper socialization and an unfamiliarity with how to build relationships with other canines. However, he’s a dog with great potential for learning, and with time, he’ll certainly gain a lot of insight into canine communication. Prymus is an energetic dog, yet he knows exactly when it’s time to run during walks and when it’s time to sniff around and relax—and interestingly, he even creates his own perfect walking schedule to make each walk as enjoyable as possible for himself. He could be a wonderful companion on hikes and for everyday outdoor activities. We’re seeking a home for him that will provide stability, commitment, and the time he needs to continue growing and developing. For more information about walking Prymus: Roksana 796 157 777

About PRYMUS

What life with PRYMUS looks like

PRYMUS is a medium-sized adult dog waiting at Schronisko Kraków in Kraków.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting PRYMUS, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about PRYMUS?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Schronisko Kraków handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw PRYMUS on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt PRYMUS if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Schronisko Kraków will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is PRYMUS already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if PRYMUS isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Schronisko Kraków early rather than rehoming privately; they know PRYMUS and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
