Pucor

Mixed Breed · Female · Young · 3 years

Pucor, a beautiful dog, arrived at the Kecskemét animal shelter on August 28, 2026, along with Edi (link to Edi), from the Pilis community. They were found together on the street, homeless, but fortunately secured and reported to the shelter. They were visibly happy and grateful for their rescue. No chip, no one missing the duo. We know nothing about their past, but their future is in our hands, and we wish they will find loving people who will show them the bright side of life every day and forever! Pucor and Edi do not have to be placed together. Pucor is a grateful, friendly, and loving dog, slightly shy at first, she needs some time until she trusts someone. She must have had her experiences and was not always welcome, in her search for help and food. With patience, understanding, and affection, she slowly thaws and when she knows someone, she is a loyal and affectionate four-legged friend. She needs a lot of love and security. Her new people should give Pucor security and introduce her to everyday things in life step by step. She wants to please and wants to be challenged and promoted so that she can develop further into a great and loyal companion. Certainly, in due time, she would have a lot of fun with sports activities and would be a great companion for jogging, cycling, hiking, etc. Pucor is a smart four-legged friend and her new people should enjoy teaching her a few things, because Pucor knows nothing about dog arithmetic. We are sure that Pucor will be happy and eager to learn when her two-legged friends sit with her at the school desk and practice, then she will quickly have the missed material. She gets along well with her fellow dogs and currently lives in a 2-person WG with Edi. (as of October 7, 2026) We are looking for enthusiastic dog lovers who will love, appreciate, and respect Pucor. Loving people who will catch up with Pucor and show her how it feels to have her own caring home, her own food bowl, a soft bed, and her own people who spoil her with many caresses, exciting walks, dog-friendly activities, and full family connection. Who is Pucor's "safe haven"? Pucor can travel from around the end of October/beginning of November 2026 if she has found a home or a foster home.

About Pucor

What life with Pucor looks like

Pucor is a young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Animal Happyend in Animal Happyend.

A young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇨🇭Adopting from Switzerland

Swiss shelters require a home visit (Platzkontrolle) and proof of suitable accommodation. Cantons each have their own additional dog-keeping requirements (e.g. SKN training in some areas). Animals leave sterilized and chipped.

Frequently asked

Adopting Pucor, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Pucor?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Animal Happyend handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Pucor on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Pucor if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Animal Happyend will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Pucor already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Pucor isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Animal Happyend early rather than rehoming privately; they know Pucor and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
