Puki came to the shelter very frightened but has since opened up to staff, though remains skittish with sudden movements and loud noises. Despite his insecurities, he has a special character - funny, cheerful, cuddly, playful, and somewhat headstrong. He thrives during play once trust is established. Puki gets easily overwhelmed and needs patience and empathy. He requires time to build trust but shows quick progress. An experienced first dog would be ideal for security. He's curious about other dogs but socially uncertain and struggles to engage properly. He has low frustration tolerance and reacts hectically to new situations. Seeking patient, understanding people who can provide a calm environment without pressure, as he responds well to positive reinforcement.

Charakter & Verhalten: Puki kam sehr verängstigt zu uns ins Tierheim. Mittlerweile hat er sich gegenüber uns sehr geöffnet, bleibt jedoch schreckhaft, besonders bei plötzlichen Bewegungen und lauten Geräuschen, woraufhin er auch Fluchtbereitschaft zeigen kann. Trotz dieser Unsicherheiten hat Puki einen ganz besonderen Charakter mit vielen Facetten. Er zeigt sich von lustig und fröhlich über verschmust und verspielt bis ein wenig eigenwillig. Besonders beim Spielen taut er schnell auf, sobald er Vertrauen gefasst hat. Was Puki braucht: Puki ist leicht überfordert und benötigt viel Geduld und Einfühlungsvermögen. Er braucht Zeit, um Vertrauen aufzubauen, zeigt aber dann schnell Fortschritte. Ein stabiler Ersthund wäre ideal, um ihm Sicherheit zu geben. Gegenüber anderen Hunden begegnet er neugierig und in seinem Sozialverhalten ist er aber noch etwas unsicher und kann sich bisher nicht gut auf seinen gegenüber einlassen.
