Pumpkin and Patch

Mixed Breed Cat Β· Female

Pumpkin is a lovely ginger and white long haired boy, he is an incredibly loving, trusting and laid-back cat with a wonderfully funny personality. He is the gentle and slightly clumsy boy: life happens around him and Pumpkin generally assumes everything will be fine. He adores people, enjoys affection and is very comfortable sharing his home with other animals. Patch is a lovely black and white girl who is the clever, observant half of the brother-and-sister duo. She is quick, alert and wonderfully intelligent – the family mastermind compared with her gloriously laid-back brother, Pumpkin. Patch notices everything and likes to understand people, animals and situations before deciding that they are safe. Pumpkin and Patch are being rehomed as part of our home to home scheme. This means we don’t undertake any official medical or behavioral assessments but we are supporting Pumpkin and Patch’s owner to try and find them the perfect match. If we think you’ll make a good match, we will share your contact details with their current owner. They will be in touch if they would like to discuss the adoption further, and potentially arrange to meet. About Pumpkin and Patch

What life with Pumpkin and Patch looks like

Pumpkin and Patch is an adult mixed breed cat cat waiting at JSPCA β€” Jersey SPCA in United Kingdom.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction β€” every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Pumpkin and Patch, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Pumpkin and Patch?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. JSPCA β€” Jersey SPCA handles screening and the adoption contract directly β€” TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Pumpkin and Patch on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Pumpkin and Patch if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad β€” JSPCA β€” Jersey SPCA will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Pumpkin and Patch already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported β€” ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Pumpkin and Patch isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work β€” that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with JSPCA β€” Jersey SPCA early rather than rehoming privately; they know Pumpkin and Patch and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect β€” names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
