About QueenieQueenie is a very sweet girl who came to the centre as her racing days are now well and truly over, she is looking for a loving family who has space on their sofa for a gentle greyhound with a heart of gold. This wonderful little lady has sadly spent all her life in racing kennels and has missed out on so much in life, she is now ready to make up for lost time and live life as a loved family pet. Because she has lived in training kennels her whole life, standard home features like stairs, shiny floors and television screens will be brand new to her. She will need a patient family to guide her as she decompresses, learns your routine, and realize she is finally home. Greyhounds adapt remarkably well and quickly as they just love the comforts a home provides. Queenie has a gentle nature but also loves a good zoomie round our compound, she is then ready to curl up and have a nice snooze. Like most greyhounds, Queenie is a quiet, docile, and highly affectionate soul. She loves nothing more than leaning against her humans for cuddles, chattering her teeth when she's happy and sleeping the clock round. Queenie is suitable to live with another dog of similar size after a successful introduction at the centre and she could live with children aged 10 years and over.
