adoption requirements adoption process Now request this animal! adoption requirements adoption process Quentin has found a home! His story: Quentin is a wonderful rough diamond and has such a gentle loving nature like an angel. With his snow-white marking on the face and body and his snow-white "stockings," he is a true looker. Even his loyal puppy gaze with his dark button eyes is perfected and wraps everyone around his paws. In early October, the little Quentin traveled to his foster family and is enjoying exploring the world. He is puppy-like playful and well-tempered, both with the two first dogs and with the cats. He loves chasing falling leaves in the garden and then collecting everything in his dog bed, where his plush toys wait. At the moment, the little Quentin is a spirited and sweet puppy, very brave and curious. The walks make him extremely happy, on the leash he is very willing and wags his tail constantly. He is very eager to learn and also unafraid of strangers. But cuddle sessions are also demanded by the foster mom, he enjoys all kinds of cuddles. House training is currently being worked on in a 2-hourly routine. It is expected that he will grow into a maximally medium-sized, handsome dog. Quentins puberty will not be long in coming and this is also a time for dogs when the foundations for the rest of their life are set. Therefore, we recommend his new people to work with a positively working dog training class. Patient and loving training will strengthen his self-confidence, solidify the bond to his trusted people, and physically and mentally challenge him. Originally, Quentin came from Romania, Bistrita.

About Quentin

What life with Quentin looks like

Quentin is a medium-sized puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Quentin, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Quentin?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Quentin on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Quentin if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Quentin already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Quentin isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Quentin and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
