Quinny

Mixed Breed Cat · Unknown · Young · 1 year

Quinny came into our care after being transferred to us so she could safely raise her kittens. Now that her little ones are ready for the next chapter, it’s Quinny’s turn to find a loving forever home of her own. Quinny has previously lived with both cats and dogs, so she is familiar with sharing her home with other pets. As always, any introductions in her new home should be done slowly and carefully to give everyone time to settle. We don’t have any history of Quinny living with children, but we feel she could adapt well to a family with children when introductions are calm, gradual and respectful of her space. Quinny will need safe outdoor access in her new home, where she can enjoy exploring and all the things that make a cat’s life so interesting. After being such a wonderful mum, Quinny deserves a home where she can relax, be herself and receive plenty of love and attention. Could you be the person to give this lovely girl the forever home she’s been waiting for? Quinny is ready to leave her mum life behind and start her own happy chapter. ❤️

About Quinny

What life with Quinny looks like

Quinny is a young adult mixed breed cat cat waiting at Thornberry Animal Sanctuary in United Kingdom.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Quinny, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Quinny?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Thornberry Animal Sanctuary handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Quinny on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Quinny if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Thornberry Animal Sanctuary will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Quinny already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Quinny isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Thornberry Animal Sanctuary early rather than rehoming privately; they know Quinny and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
