Ragnar

European Shorthair · Male · Kitten · 3 months

RAGNAR — ADOPTION 🐾 📖 His story: Ragnar is one of four kittens rescued by the association. Their mother, very wild, unfortunately did not feed them properly. They were therefore bottle-fed day and night by the association. Once weaned, and to promote their development, we chose to separate the litter into two. Ragnar then found himself causing mischief with his brother Ron, also up for adoption. 🐾 🧠 His character: Ragnar is a lively kitten, a bit more discreet than his brother Ron, although he willingly follows him in all the adventures he wants to take him on. 😂 His daily routine is a bit like that of the perfect little kitten: eat, run, play, sleep... and start again! He has not a single bit of aggressiveness, although he may happen to nibble during play sessions. And let me tell you, there are quite a few of those! 🐾 Ragnar also enjoys his little afternoon nap, well settled in his favorite spot. But be careful, when he has decided he wants attention, he will not hesitate to come and ask for it! ❤️ He loves human contact and especially when it comes back to the table with his plate... Ragnar is a real little glutton! 🍽️😂 It must be in the family, because the two brothers are real little table-hoppers! 🏠 His needs: A loving family that will not be afraid of the crazy energy of a kitten and who will be present for both the big play sessions and the cuddle moments. ❤️ 🐾 Compatibility: 🐈: OK 🐕: OK 👶: OK For any adoption requests, please fill out the form here

About Ragnar

What life with Ragnar looks like

Ragnar is a puppy/kitten european shorthair cat waiting at Association Thalya Protection in France.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months — most shelters arrange this before adoption.

🇫🇷Adopting from France

French refuges follow the SPA framework: adopters sign a cession contract that includes sterilization, vaccinations, microchip identification, and rabies passport. Fees are typically €150–€300. Many refuges work with rescue transport partners for cross-border placements.

Frequently asked

Adopting Ragnar, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Ragnar?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Association Thalya Protection handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Ragnar on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Ragnar if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Association Thalya Protection will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Ragnar already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Ragnar isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Association Thalya Protection early rather than rehoming privately; they know Ragnar and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (FR). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
