Raisa

Mixed Breed · Female · Young · 2 years

adoption requirements adoption process Now request this animal! adoption requirements adoption process Raisa has found her home! Her story: The cute little Raisa with fox ears was abandoned on the streets of Baia Mare because she was no longer wanted. Now she lives in a private shelter with an outdoor run and daily walks. While this is a quieter life than in the public shelter, it is still not a permanent solution, so we are searching for a wonderful home for her where she can arrive and live a worry-free dog life. Raisa is about 40 cm in size and is estimated to be around 1-2 years old. She is open to people in Romania and enjoys attention. She also shows a very friendly and compatible attitude towards other dogs in the shelter. Since Raisa has not yet experienced life as a house dog, she will need time to learn doggy 1×1. She can be supported by her family and attending a positively working dog training class, so she can quickly adapt to her new life. Regular training will strengthen her self-confidence and the bond with her new people. We wish our cute Raisa warm and patient adopters who will give her plenty of time for the beautiful female dog, so she can make up for all the lost time on the streets as a happy and loved family dog. The little Raisa would also be very happy about a foster placement! Raisa can travel to her new home with an EU pet passport microchipped, vaccinated, neutered, dewormed, and flea treated. Many thanks, dear Claudia R., for giving Raisa her beautiful name and thus her own identity. As of: 10.06.

Stand: 10.06.2024

About Raisa

What life with Raisa looks like

Raisa is a medium-sized young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Raisa, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Raisa?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Raisa on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Raisa if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Raisa already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Raisa isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Raisa and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
