Rambo🥊 Meet the very handsome and utterly adorable Rambo – and trust us, this boy is ready to fight for your heart (and win it in record time!). With his kind soul, gentle nature, and heart of gold, Rambo is a true softie beneath that heroic name. He’s a happy-go-lucky, confident, and affectionate boy who adores life, people, and every bit of love that comes his way. Rambo is the sort of dog who melts your heart the moment you meet him – one look into those beautiful eyes, and you’ll know he’s the one.Rambo has become a firm favourite here at Clarks Farm, and it’s easy to see why. He’s calm, patient, and endlessly loving, always waiting his turn and keeping his kennel spotless – a true gentleman in every way. Though he carries himself with the quiet wisdom of an old soul, Rambo also has a playful, puppy-like side that never fails to make us laugh. Whether he’s having a silly moment with his toys or leaning in for cuddles, he’s a perfect balance of fun and affection. With his easy-going charm and relaxed nature, this boy is happiest stretched out on a cosy bed after his morning walk, soaking up the peace and quiet (and maybe a few belly rubs).Rambo is one of those special souls who feels the emotions of everyone around him. He always seems to know when you need a little extra love, pressing himself close to offer his signature Rambo-style hugs – the kind that make everything feel better. On tougher days, he’s your calm in the storm, offering quiet reassurance without needing to say a word. There isn’t a single bad bone in this boy’s body. He simply loves to love, and he gives his heart so freely to the people he cares for. With his warm eyes, steady spirit, and gentle affection, Rambo reminds you what true companionship feels like. He’s incredibly social with both people and other greyhounds, always friendly, calm, and well-mannered around his fellow hounds. Whether he’s lounging beside his kennel mate or greeting new friends, Rambo radiates kindness. He forms deep bonds and thrives on connection – he’s truly happiest when surrounded by love. Though he’s confident and independent enough to enjoy his own company, he’s just as content sharing his space with another gentle hound. Either way, Rambo will make his home shine with warmth and love.Rambo has been through a lot in his six years, yet he carries no bitterness – only love. After everything he’s faced, this brave boy deserves a forever home where he can finally lay down his head, feel safe, and be cherished every single day. His soft heart, sensitive soul, and loyal spirit are what make him truly extraordinary. He’s everything you could ever want in a companion – loving, gentle, easy-going, and so wonderfully kind.Whoever is lucky enough to welcome this special boy home will find their perfect match. Once Rambo enters your life, you’ll never look back – he’ll be your loyal comrade, your comfort through every battle, and your best friend for life.Rambo has fitted right into life here at Clarks Farm, quickly becoming a cherished part of the family. He won us all over with his loving nature and gentle spirit. His kind, calming energy and natural ability to connect with humans make you feel instantly safe and truly loved. He’s honestly the bestest boy, and we can’t wait to see him find the home he so deeply deserves. He’s an incredibly social boy, both with people and his fellow hounds, and truly gets along with everyone he meets. He currently shares his kennel with Blair, a lively hound, and despite being complete opposites, the two have formed a wonderful bond. Rambo’s patience and kindness shine through in the way he calmly balances Blair’s puppy energy — it’s lovely to watch. He’d be more than happy to share his forever home with another hound or two, as he’s such a friendly, easy-going boy. That said, Rambo would be just as content as the only dog in the home, soaking up all the love and attention from his humans.Rambo is a true people-dog through and through. He loves everyone, big and small, but given his age, we feel he’d be happiest in a calm adult-only home where he can enjoy his well-earned retirement in peace. He could also live with mature, dog-savvy children who understand when to give him his space. Rambo’s gentle, affectionate personality means he’ll slot into family life with ease — he’s just the kind of dog who will make a house feel like home.It does break our hearts knowing that Rambo may be overlooked because of his age and colour. Being an older black hound often puts him at a disadvantage, but to us, that makes him even more special. His years have given him a wisdom and calmness that make him a joy to be around. He’s beautifully chilled, wonderfully kind, and simply wants a soft bed and humans to love. This boy has been through so much in his six years, yet he still greets every day with love and hope — a true survivor, just like his name suggests.During his first dog test, Rambo did struggle a little. Having spent the last couple of years seeing very little beyond his racing kennels, it’s no surprise that the big outside world can be overwhelming at times. He was anxious and unsure of Blossom, so we decided not to push him further and will revisit his test once he’s had more time to settle and gain confidence. Rambo will need a home that understands this side of him — one that’s patient, gentle, and ready to help him build his confidence around other breeds. He’ll need quiet walks away from busy areas with off-lead dogs, and positive, steady socialisation to help him learn that the world isn’t such a scary place after all.We know that this, alongside his age and colour, might make people overlook him, but please don’t. This small hurdle doesn’t define who Rambo is. Beneath that shy exterior with other breeds is a dog full of love, kindness, and devotion, just waiting for the right person to give him his chance. His personality is perfection, his heart is pure gold, and his love is unconditional. He truly is one of the most special souls you’ll ever meet.Rambo will change his forever family’s life for the better, filling every day with warmth, laughter, and love. Whoever opens their heart to this wonderful boy will be gaining not just a pet, but a lifelong companion and best friend.Rambo’s fighting days are over — now his only mission is to win your heart and fill your home with love. And trust us… this time, love really does draw first blood! REHOME Rambo🥊 SITEMAP | PRIVACY POLICY | T's & C's | WEBSITE DONATED BY 2D © Clarks Farm Greyhound Rescue 2026 |

About Rambo

What life with Rambo looks like

Rambo is a large adult greyhound dog waiting at Clarks Farm Greyhound Rescue in United Kingdom.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. A larger dog like this one needs daily off-leash time when possible — a fenced yard or regular access to safe walking trails. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Rambo, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Rambo?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Clarks Farm Greyhound Rescue handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Rambo on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Rambo if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Clarks Farm Greyhound Rescue will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Rambo already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Rambo isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Clarks Farm Greyhound Rescue early rather than rehoming privately; they know Rambo and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
