How do I contact the shelter about Rambo?

Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Fellnasen e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Rambo on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.

Can I adopt Rambo if I live in another country?

Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Fellnasen e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.

Is Rambo already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?

Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.

What happens if Rambo isn't the right fit?

Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Fellnasen e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Rambo and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.

Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?

TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.

Rambo would like to move into his dream home ❤️ Birthdate: approx. 24.08.2022 Gender: male neutered: yes FiV/FeLV: pending Location: foster home (Silvia) from Partnertierschutzverein Help Labus in Galati/Romania Placement fee: €220 Rambo is a handsome, about 4 years old (as of 08/26) male cat who has experienced a lot in his life so far. He was neutered and vaccinated as a kitten and is therefore well prepared for a new life stage. His story began in a village: Rambo was taken in by an engaged animal rights activist along with other cats when she moved to Costi. The cats kept appearing and eventually found a safe place with her. She raised them, provided for them and made sure they were neutered. Unfortunately, the cats were not particularly welcome at their previous location. They liked to stay on a windowsill where they slept and ate - much to the owner's annoyance. So Rambo finally came to his rescuer and lives in safety today. In winter, he was allowed into the house at night and learned to know human closeness and a protected home. Now we wish for Rambo people who show him how beautiful a real home can be - with security, security and lots of love. ❤️ Rambo still has his whole life ahead of him. He is looking for people who give him time to settle in, build trust and finally be really at home. Rambo is eagerly waiting for his own family 🐾❤️ Who would like to get to know Rambo and give him the home he deserves? For his new life, he wants safe outdoor access so he can enjoy nature and experience small adventures. A traffic-calmed environment is important; heavily trafficked roads should be at least 200 meters away. ℹ️ Our cats are tested for FIV and FeLV, chipped, dewormed, de-fleaed, vaccinated and travel with an EU pet passport. If they are of the appropriate age, they are of course also neutered. 📞 Contact: Ein Herz für Fellnasen in Not e.V.

📞 Kontakt: Ein Herz für Fellnasen in Not e.V.

About Rambo

What life with Rambo looks like

Rambo is a adult mixed breed cat waiting at Ein Herz für Fellnasen e.V. in Waakirchen.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.
