Adopt Honden ter adoptie

Mixed Breed · Male · Young · 3 years

This is Rami. His estimated birth date is September 2022, his height is 48 cm. He was dumped with his brother Raf in a small town near the animal shelter of Sos Dogs Romania along with some other pups. Unfortunately, we see this more and more often, puppies being abandoned on the street, without any chance of survival. Fortunately, Eva found them, and they were able to go to the animal shelter. There they are safe and could grow up carefree. He has already had all his vaccinations, his passport is ready for departure! Rami was very scared when he arrived. Therefore, he was placed in our shelter in Didam, he really needed that extra attention. There he got the name Sami and listens very well. Sami has learned so much. He is housebroken and knows how to behave in the house. He greets strangers enthusiastically. He definitely needs more confidence, but he's already grown so much! His ideal home already has a dog companion. He can get along with all dogs, big and small, young and old. He follows their lead and loves nothing more than playing and running on the large field. He gets happy with every dog! Also cats are no problem for Sami. However, walking on a leash is still very exciting for Sami. Sami definitely needs an owner who is patient with him, then you will get a lifelong friend! Rami is in the Netherlands. If you are interested in Rami, we would be happy to receive a message with your living and working situation and any experience with dogs. If after an intake conversation it turns out you are a match, an appointment can be made to visit and collect him from our small shelter in Didam. Rami is The adoption fee is € 390. This is a contribution towards the costs such as spaying/neutering, the trip to the Netherlands, European pet passport, chip and vaccinations. Read also the adoption information and our adoption conditions. This animal is microchipped.

Rami is in Nederland. About Honden ter adoptie

What life with Honden ter adoptie looks like

Honden ter adoptie is a large young adult mixed breed dog waiting at SOS Dogs Nederland in NN Didam.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. A larger dog like this one needs daily off-leash time when possible — a fenced yard or regular access to safe walking trails. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

Note from the shelter: Needs patient owner for confidence building and leash training

🇳🇱Adopting from Netherlands

Dutch shelters typically require a household assessment and an adoption contract. Animals are routinely sterilized, microchipped, and registered in the national pet database (NDG) before placement.

Frequently asked

Adopting Honden ter adoptie, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Honden ter adoptie?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. SOS Dogs Nederland handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Honden ter adoptie on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Honden ter adoptie if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — SOS Dogs Nederland will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Honden ter adoptie already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Honden ter adoptie isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with SOS Dogs Nederland early rather than rehoming privately; they know Honden ter adoptie and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (NL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
