Adopt Randy

Mixed Breed · Female · Young · 2 years

friendly, people-oriented, open, curious Randy & Winnie Two hearts that simply want to belong Randy and Winnie we met during a spaying action on the beach of Epanomi. Our team took the two in, provided medical care and then returned them to their familiar environment. But this was not the end of our story. Some time later, two of our team members were again in the area. And who ran up joyfully? Randy and Winnie! Tail wagging, they greeted us as if they had only been waiting for this moment. Without hesitation, both got into our association car on their own, ready to come with us, ready for another life. Unfortunately, our animal shelter was completely full at this time, and we simply had no possibility to take them in. With heavy hearts, we had to let them go. But they were not satisfied with that: Randy and Winnie ran several hundred meters after our car. A sight that still stays with us until today. Months passed. Then a new meeting. At a completely different corner of the area, the same team members were walking when suddenly two familiar figures appeared: Winnie and Randy. And this time, they took their chance. Determined, they followed our team until their accommodation. Upon arrival, they apparently made their own decision: We will stay here. They stayed voluntarily, sought proximity, wanted to belong until finally a place for them became available in the animal shelter. Randy and Winnie are not dogs that are rescued. They are dogs that have found their home themselves. Both show themselves to be people-oriented, clingy, playful and absolutely eager to learn. They enjoy every form of attention and are ready to finally arrive. They long for nothing more than security, affection and a stable home where they never have to be left behind again. We generally place the two of them individually. However, should someone imagine being able to give both of them a home together, that would be a dream come true for us and especially for Randy and Winnie. Who will finally give these two special souls their happy ending? are all vaccinated, microchipped and have an EU passport. They are checked for Mediterranean diseases according to their age. See information on our homepage. Every placed dog makes room for one of those dogs who have to struggle through life hungry and emaciated.

AUFENTHALTSORT

About Randy

What life with Randy looks like

Randy is a young adult mixed breed dog waiting at A.C.E. Animal Compassion Europe - Tiere in Not e.V. in Greece.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇬🇷Adopting from Greece

Greek shelters often partner with Northern European rescue groups for placements. Animals are sterilized, vaccinated, and chipped before adoption. Fees vary widely depending on whether the shelter is municipal or NGO-run.

Frequently asked

Adopting Randy, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Randy?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. A.C.E. Animal Compassion Europe - Tiere in Not e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Randy on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Randy if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — A.C.E. Animal Compassion Europe - Tiere in Not e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Randy already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Randy isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with A.C.E. Animal Compassion Europe - Tiere in Not e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Randy and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
