We would like to draw your attention to Rani: an 8-year-old Cypriot-white lady. Her birthdate is estimated to be June 18, 2018, which makes her a senior cat. She was found wandering on the street and has been given a separate place in a bench in our shelter. She was too stressful and anxious among and with the other cats. Unfortunately, for cats like Rani who have been in the shelter for a while, this separate space is actually too small for a longer period. Socializing with people is then limited, partly because small spaces offer the cat little opportunity to flee, hide, and observe us from a greater distance to build trust. Therefore, we are looking for a suitable match for Rani in a quiet house and environment. In that house, there are no other animals and children, their enthusiasm is too busy for Rani. Her new owner is calm, patient, and has no expectations from Rani. Her future staff lives alone or with a maximum of one more person. Experience with more fearful cats is a plus. In her new golden bed, there are hiding places and enough space to explore freely when the time is right for Rani and the foundation of trust has been laid. Wet food is a good way to promote socialization. We always see Rani in the shelter enjoying and looking forward to it. Currently, she is given Royal Canin exigent kibble. Wet food and kibble is therefore a good combination for her. The transition to other kibble in her forever home is possible as long as she eats it well and does not have any problems with it. Graag vragen wij jullie aandacht voor Rani: een 8 jarige cypers-witte dame. Haar geboortedatum wordt geschat op 18 juni 2018 en dat maakt haar een senioren poes. Zij is zwervend op straat gevonden en heeft binnen onze opvang een apart eigen plekje in een bench gekregen. Tussen en bij de andere katten was voor haar té spannend en erg stressvol. Helaas, als katten zoals Rani wat langer in de opvang zitten is dat eigen plekje voor langere tijd eigenlijk te klein. Socialiseren met mensen is dan ook beperkter, mede omdat kleine ruimtes de kat weinig mogelijkheden bieden om te vluchten, te schuilen en ons van grotere afstand te observeren om het vertrouwen op te bouwen. Voor Rani zoeken wij daarom een passende match in een rustig huisje en omgeving. In dat huisje wonen géén andere dieren en kinderen, hun enthousiasme is te druk voor Rani. Haar nieuwe baasje is rustig van aard, geduldig en heeft géén verwachtingen van Rani. Haar toekomstig personeel woont alleen of met maximaal nog 1 persoon erbij. Ervaring met bangere katten is een pluspunt. In haar nieuwe gouden mandje zijn schuilplekjes en genoeg ruimte om ongedwongen op ontdekking te gaan als de tijd daar voor Rani rijp voor is en de basis van vertrouwen is gelegd. Natvoer geven is een goede manier om het socialiseren te bevorderen. Wij zien Rani in de opvang daar altijd van smullen en naar uitkijken. Momenteel krijgt ze Royal Canin exigent brokjes. Natvoer én brokjes is dus een goede combinatie voor haar. De overgang naar andere brokken in haar forever home is mogelijk zolang ze die goed eet en geen hinder van heeft.
