Räuberbraut Liesl mit Handicap

Mixed Breed · Unknown · Adult · 5 years

Liesl Age: 5 years husbandry: Suitable for apartment living, best with a secured balcony Diseases: Autoimmune disease Our Lieslchen came to us a few months ago as an absolute emergency. The little mouse was literally on the brink of death. She was severely emaciated, had pale mucous membranes, and sat apathetically in a corner. Blood tests revealed that Liesl had severe anemia (blood deficiency). The little mouse had just enough red blood cells (and thus energy and oxygen) to sit, breathe, and eat. After several examinations and a cortisone treatment, our Lieslchen improved significantly and could show her true character. The young lady is a real robber bride, who loves to run, play, and cuddle for her life. But the energy for that has to be there first. Liesl suffers from an autoimmune disease. Her body attacks her own red blood cells. To prevent this, Liesl receives cortisone permanently. These tablets are very affordable and do not weigh heavily on the monthly costs. But Liesl needs a home where she is also well observed. If the little mouse deteriorates health-wise, blood tests are required to adjust the cortisondose if necessary. Moreover, Liesl should not be given free roam! The risk that she might not come home for a few days and develop health issues due to the lack of cortisone is too high. Therefore, Liesl needs a home with people without children (she did not do so well in her last home) or fellow animals. She needs sufficient attention and mental stimulation, as she is actually a very playful and energetic little creature. She is a charming little mouse, and we very much wish her a beautiful home!

About Räuberbraut Liesl mit Handicap

What life with Räuberbraut Liesl mit Handicap looks like

Räuberbraut Liesl mit Handicap is a adult mixed breed cat waiting at Tierheim Lahr in Lahr.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

Frequently asked

Adopting Räuberbraut Liesl mit Handicap, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Räuberbraut Liesl mit Handicap?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierheim Lahr handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Räuberbraut Liesl mit Handicap on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Räuberbraut Liesl mit Handicap if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierheim Lahr will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Räuberbraut Liesl mit Handicap already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Räuberbraut Liesl mit Handicap isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierheim Lahr early rather than rehoming privately; they know Räuberbraut Liesl mit Handicap and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
