Adopt Raven

adoption requirements adoption process Adopt this animal now! adoption requirements adoption process Raven has found a home! Story: Bistrita, Romania. The journey of Raven, Boomie, Yuma, and Mayli began on shaky legs! The four puppies were picked up by our helpers on the streets of Romania, where they were left and wandered around without a mother. Even though these little puppy children are now safe from cars and people, they all eagerly await their ticket to a new forever home! The perfect name fits Raven perfectly: with his gleaming black fur, he looks like a little raven. The only difference is that the lively and playful puppy has a pretty white spot on his chest and walks around on four legs. At just three months old, he is a curious explorer, using his lively eyes to discover the world around him. Puppy-like, Raven is hugely excited about play and cuddle sessions. He will grow to be a small to medium-sized adult dog. Adopting a dog, in this case even a puppy, from an animal shelter is an incredibly enriching experience, but it comes with a few basic requirements. It's important to find people for Raven who don't expect much from him. He is still a baby and knows very little about the big wide world. Therefore, having a lot of time, patience, love, and the occasional treat ready for this little guy is essential. Also important to keep in mind is that Raven is still going through puberty. A time when young puppies, just like teenagers, sometimes have a bit of mischief in their heads and test boundaries. However, with Fabio being guided through this time with loving consistency, nothing stands in the way of his development into a loyal, lifelong companion. Raven would be thrilled to attend a positively working puppy or dog school! After a positive assessment, he will be microchipped, dewormed, and equipped with an EU pet passport. He would also be thrilled about a loving foster home! Has Raven managed to make your heart beat a little faster? We look forward to your inquiry! Many thanks, Sarah! You have given Raven his name!

Vielen Dank Sarah! Du hast Raven seinen Namen geschenkt!

About Raven

What life with Raven looks like

Raven is a extra-large puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Raven, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Raven?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Raven on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Raven if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Raven already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Raven isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Raven and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
