Adopt Rayito

Mixed Breed · Male · Kitten · 11 months

Rayito is a beautiful ginger cat who was handed over to the shelter by his own owner. When he was very young, he was rescued and grew up in a home where he was loved and cared for, but now his family had to move and couldn’t take him with them. For Rayito, everything changed suddenly. Going from a home to living with other cats and being in an unfamiliar place wasn’t easy, and at first he seemed angry and very unsettled. But little by little we’ve started to see him improve. Now he lets us stroke him and enjoys being pampered. He’s also starting to come out of his scratching post and wander around the room with more confidence. During those first wanderings, he has also shown that he gets on well with other cats, which is a very positive sign for his adjustment. Even so, there is still work to be done. Rayito needs to continue building his confidence and trust in people, and for that he needs patience, calm and lots of love. 💛 Behind his insecurities lies a kind and sensitive cat who deserves to feel at home again. 💛 Rayito needs a family who understands his journey and gives him the chance to feel safe again. 📩 Adoption enquiries: 📸 Follow us on Instagram:

About Rayito

What life with Rayito looks like

Rayito is a small puppy/kitten mixed breed cat waiting at Triple A Marbella in Marbella.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months — most shelters arrange this before adoption.

🇪🇸Adopting from Spain

Spanish protectoras generally include sterilization, all vaccinations, microchip ID, and EU pet passport in the adoption fee (typically €250–€400 for a dog, €100–€180 for a cat). Many maintain partnerships with rescue transport providers across the EU.

Frequently asked

Adopting Rayito, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Rayito?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Triple A Marbella handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Rayito on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Rayito if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Triple A Marbella will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Rayito already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Rayito isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Triple A Marbella early rather than rehoming privately; they know Rayito and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
