Gender: female Age: born around December 2021 (approximate estimated date) Size: medium (27 kg) (stands 65 cm tall at the shoulder) Date of arrival: January 2025 Spayed: yes Vaccinated: yes Microchipped: yes Agreements: okay with dogs, not okay with cats, okay with children; afraid of men (but can adapt over time with patience and care) Temperament: shy Progress: very sociable and affectionate with women, and when she feels confident, she can also walk nicely on a leash (January 2025) History: Redhead and a male dog named Rocky both lived near a Catholic foundation that takes in abandoned children in Roman. They were more or less owned by the foundation and were fed by volunteers who rescue dogs nearby. The foundation’s management changed, and one of the priests, without warning, caught the two dogs and put them into a 4-square-meter kennel. The dogs couldn’t handle being locked up overnight, and Crina, the volunteer who cared for them around the foundation, found the male dog, Rocky, dead in a field just a few meters away. While escaping from his cage, Rocky had impaled himself on an iron spike in his chest, puncturing his lung... She immediately took Redhead in, tried to keep her in her mother’s yard, but Redhead kept running away, so she had to put her in a kennel somewhere else. But it’s a tiny kennel where Redhead is unhappy. That’s why she begged us to help her and find a loving family for this little lady, so she could have a better life than this. Ils appartenaient plus ou moins à la fondation et étaient nourris par des bénévoles qui sauvent des chiens non loin de là. La direction de la fondation a changé, et l'un des prêtres, sans prévenir, a attrapé les 2 chiens et les a mis dans un boxe de 4 m². Les chiens n'ont pas supporté de se retrouver enfermés du jour au lendemain et Crina, la bénévole qui s'en occupait autour de la fondation, a retrouvé le mâle, Rocky, mort dans un champ quelques mètres plus loin. En s'échappant de la cage, il s'était enfoncé un pic en fer dans le thorax et s'était perforé le poumon... Elle a immédiatement récupéré Redhead, elle a essayé de la garder dans la cour de sa mère mais elle s'enfuyait alors elle a du la mettre en boxe quelque part. Mais c'est un petit boxe où elle est malheureuse. C'est pourquoi elle nous a supplié de l'aider et de rechercher une famille pour la louloute pour qu'elle ait une meilleure vie que ça.
