Regina

Mixed Breed · Female · Puppy · 10 months

Regina is a beautiful 10-month-old Bichon Frise cross who has recently come into our care and is already proving to be a very sweet, friendly little dog. She has previously lived in a family home with young children and has been very good with both people and other dogs. Regina is affectionate, sociable and enjoys company, but like many dogs of her type she can take a few moments to warm up when meeting strangers. Once she has had that little bit of time to feel comfortable, her friendly and loving nature shines through. Regina is still a young dog, so she will need a home that can continue her training, help her build confidence and give her the routine and guidance she needs as she matures. She would suit a family or individual looking for a loving companion and would likely enjoy a home where she has plenty of interaction, gentle walks and companionship. Regina is currently 10 months old and is not yet neutered. She weighs 5.5kgs. As with all our dogs, her adopters will be expected to follow our guidance regarding neutering at the appropriate time. Most of our dogs have been found abandoned as young pups, discarded as unwanted litters, as is often the case in Portugal where neutering is not as common as in the UK. After rescue, all of our pups spend time in private shelters and foster homes, meaning they arrive happy, healthy and well socialised. UK Registered Charity Number 1183775

About Regina

What life with Regina looks like

Regina is a puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Dogs N Homes Rescue in London.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Regina, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Regina?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Dogs N Homes Rescue handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Regina on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Regina if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Dogs N Homes Rescue will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Regina already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Regina isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Dogs N Homes Rescue early rather than rehoming privately; they know Regina and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
