Reva

Mixed Breed · Male · Young · 1 year

Reva, a young and energetic Hungarian dog, was found as a stray in Kecskemét on September 4, 2026, and brought to the animal shelter. Unfortunately, his history and reasons for becoming homeless are unknown. Reva willingly entered the shelter car and was happy to have someone to care for him and not be alone anymore. He is not chipped, and no one reported missing him. Reva is now in the shelter, waiting to be discovered by loving people who can share his life journey. Reva is a typical young dog, full of life, energy, and enthusiasm, but he is underemployed and stressed in the shelter. He is also friendly, open, sometimes a bit restless, and still struggles to slow down, which is difficult in the loud and hectic shelter environment. He enjoys attention and affection and never wants to miss it in his life. His new owners must lovingly but also consistently teach Reva what a dog needs to know for his life as a family member and guide his eagerness in the right direction, then he will develop into a great companion who will go through thick and thin with his two-legged friends. Reva is enthusiastic about every adventure and wants a lot of quality time with his two-legged friends. Reva gets along well with his fellow dogs and is currently (September 29, 2026) being integrated into a pack. We are looking for adventurous, athletic, and experienced dog owners who can lead and guide Reva patiently but with clear rules, challenge and promote him mentally and physically, give him a lot of love, care, security, and comfort, spoil him with many caresses, give him the necessary rest so he can relax and unwind, and welcome Reva into their family forever. In return, Reva brings a lot of joy into his new home. Who will discover the world with Reva? Reva can travel from around the end of October 2026 if he finds a home or foster home.

About Reva

What life with Reva looks like

Reva is a young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Animal Happyend in Animal Happyend.

A young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇨🇭Adopting from Switzerland

Swiss shelters require a home visit (Platzkontrolle) and proof of suitable accommodation. Cantons each have their own additional dog-keeping requirements (e.g. SKN training in some areas). Animals leave sterilized and chipped.

Frequently asked

Adopting Reva, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Reva?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Animal Happyend handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Reva on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Reva if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Animal Happyend will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Reva already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Reva isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Animal Happyend early rather than rehoming privately; they know Reva and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
